Grasshoppers or crickets?

I have been thinking about breeding some grasshoppers or crickets for an easy source of protein, but haven't decided on which one to go for.
Any one have any experience? Thinking what gives the best yield, taste and a easier to keep?

Not sure about breeding them, but grasshoppers taste better in my experience!

Grasshoppers are bigger therefore meatier so I would suspect they offer more protein compared to a small cricket

Thai/Lao spicy grasshoppers are not just tasty buy WAY delicious! Remove the back half of the hind legs which can stick in your throat. Crickets I havent tried but cant imagine theyre too bad. If youre in Fortuna,CA you better eat at the local Thai restaurant and ask for the Chefs recommendation, I know for a fact the owners sometimes sleep on the floor in their restaurant and escaped harrowing experiences personally from frightening regimes overseas. I love eating grasshoppers, especially spicy

How do you eat a grasshopper. Lol Like was it scary your first time?
Have hind-legs ever gotten stuck in your throat before?

Eating a grasshopper isnt too complex, dip it in a chili sauce, and YES if you look at the rear legs of a grasshopper it is COVERED in very pokey and unfriendly insect spikes, its the only part you dont want to eat. If you try to swallow it, good luck, dont worry youll be fine but will hack and choke for a bit
I find eating grasshoppers funny because they taste really good

I forgot to mention that the Fortuna restaurant is owned/operated by some of the most humble, honest, hardworking, generous people I have ever met, true Americans in the purest sense. Please forgive their kids who are selfish, ignorant, ugly jerks. Not my biz but there is a huge generational gap, I truly love the owners and real entrepreneurs, just saying it cause they deserve it. Sometimes they sleep on couch cushions on the floor in the kitchen.

That's just hilarious to me. I'm so curious as to what they taste like now. I'm definitely going to be trying some out. But where do I find them? I've never seen them here let alone in the wild. I did see they we're selling crickets for consumption at hottopic & Spencers in the mall, but isn't tht just like a novelty item?
