don't forget everything in Canada's a joke, we're fed all those lies by the Canadian media how can we ever hope to keep up with those fortunate americans and their noble and unbiased journalists?

Our cultural image is kind of abysmal though. The Rick Mercer reports constantly roasting us and idolizing America. Its fucking ridic.

BTW Trendal how'd you manage to get a medical marijuana card?

i always forget outside of this little west coast bubble you need slightly more legit med cards, man I love this island :jah:

I agree canada culturally is rather lame, mostly a milder imitation of the states.

It's like the states, minus guns and criimes, plus nature and wilderness.

Theres places here that will sell to you without a card and its completely out in the open, like business front downtown out in the open. Cops wont bust them as long as they look like a legit business. I just want some extra security when it comes to potential legal proceedings.

Let me ask you Canadians something.  Have any of you heard of a movie from 1939 called 'The Wizard of Oz'?

I don't think we should build a wall on the Mexican border I think we should build a bridge over the US into Canada because it is just so great.

I know you're joking, but the other day I encountered a 28 year old Canadian who had never heard of it.  Kinda blew my mind, and I got to wondering if you guys mostly stick to Canadian movies or what.  I mean, that makes sense.  I do watch a lot more foreign films than many people I know, but I still might not know the most popular Canadian movie of the 1930s.  But Hollywood is something of a global juggernaut, so I think American movies have a lot of visibility in every country.

ha no they're just weird. The only time I watch canadian movies is in film studies courses, the only time I watch canadian tv is never. Most of the people I know consistently joke about how bad our movies and tv are too, i mean there's some good art films but it all just tries too hard to be canadian, and by that I mean inoffensive and mild
