have you played the new hitman?... loved all the hitman games, except absolution... I mean I didn't hate it, but not what I was expecting from a hitman game, a definite step backwards... I've been wary about buying the new one after that.
open world is where it's at though for sure, assuming it's done right... pretty sure red dead 2 is gonna be fucking epic.

New Hitman is actually fucking amazing. I think it might even be better than Blood Money was. I was extremely skeptical after Absolution + the episodic format, but goddamn if the newest Hitman hasn't been polished into a fucking gem.

I never played any hitman games but I've played the original reddead on ps2 and PC and even played undead nightmare a little.

Yep. Bigger than ever. Tons of options. Honestly the only real complaint I have about it is that the Fiber Wire doesn't feel anywhere near as brutal as it used to and it's WAY too fast. I used to use it extremely heavily back in Blood Money cuz I loved how savage some of the animations were (like the one where he loops it around their neck, pivots, and then pulls them over his shoulder) but now it just feels like a cheap win button because they die in like 1.5 seconds (after a really lame animation) and are instantly pulled into a drag. Also you can't visibly tighten the wire in your hands anymore which just bothers me
Some of the challenge kills are quite fun too. Like one of the challenges for the Paris level is to assassinate both targets by making one fall on the other from a great height. Or this one where you disguise yourself as the targets Plague Doctor display only to cut his throat with a ritual amputation knife as he watches childhood videos on his projector.
