Here is one of mine that is pretty general:

Teriyaki/ asian sauce:

Ginger
Garlic
Marin
Tamari/ Soy Sauce
Sugar

Pepper also goes well if you like it spicy, black pepper/ cayan in small amounts and fresh thai chiles and or other asian peppers really expand the flavor.

I use a cheese grater to finely shred garlic and ginger then add them to boiling water followed by several generous shakes of the soy sauce.

I add a small amount of marin early on and a tiny bit at the end to get 2 flavors from it, one caramelized with the sauce and one fresh

I pour a solid amount of sugar in early on as well then slowly add more to taste, I prefer cane sugar for this but whatever you have is fine. Honey is great.

Chop up and add your peppers if you want it spicy then cover the pot of water and let it simmer/ lightly boil for awhile. I would say 30 min to an hour minimum but the longer you cook it the more flavor you bring out and the more all the flavors caramelize and fuse together. Make sure it doesn't get low as it turns into a thick syrup before burning when the water all cooks out.

After cooking it for awhile and when the taste is satisfying you have 2 options, cook it down into a thick sauce to apply to a meat or something or leave more water. I prefer the latter for a few reasons, mainly I use the sauce for noodles so it lets me cook the sauce down further with my noodles + veggies and whatever meat/ protein I use. It also stores better and is easier to work with when its not super thick.

Anyways there is my general asian sauce/ teriyaki recipe. I have a big pot of it going right now for later :awesomenod:

Strongest batch I have made too, I used a ton of garlic and ginger + 3 fresh peppers and 3 roasted ones and a little cayan + black pepper :uhoh:

Grilled chicken and hot bacon vinaigrette dressing-

grilled/chopped chicken breast, fresh spinach, feta or Gorgonzola, pine nuts or walnuts, or candied nuts, crumbled bacon, craisins. Cook fresh bacon and save the grease, add 1-3 tablespoons of it to a vinaigrette dressing of your choice, basically a 3 to 1 mix or half and half, heat it up but not too hot, mix all ingredients together and add the dressing last wilting the spinach, serve immediately warm. Sort of made it up myself.

could tweak it by marinating the chicken in a marinade of choice.

Chop the potatoes up really thin, I fry up sweet potatoes like that in 10-20 min. Then boil the rice for 25~ minutes on a timer, then after around 25-30 min drain the excess water and cover with a lid for another 5-10 minutes. Its best to stop boiling the rice right as it gets soft/ done so it doesn't get squishy, for typical white rice it takes 26 minutes of boiling usually.

This is what is left of my sauce, super dark and rich. I used the rest of my tamari to counter the spice and damn did it come out tasty :crazy2:

Too much time, steak takes 5min, I finished washing the dishes by the time the rice would be ready

Something like rice needs to be done between things. There should be no waiting for rice, you can do some push ups, go for a shower, or learn some music in the meantime.

It should never be a chore, because any time you spend thinking about doing but not acting, is wasted time, and it would be done in no time.

Probably should have mentioned that's like 4-8 cups of tartar sauce

For 1cup you could probably use a spoonful, maybe 2

This is true.

I always find the quickest solution when I am stoned.

If it's late night, it usually involves tins of various things and a big bowl.

 that's pretty much what I just did, sautéed steak, crackers and 2 bowls of cereal

The recipes for a decent meal are there, but I'm too high for all that

1 chorizo saucage
200-400 grams of chicken, beef, shrimp or pork.
some rice
chicken broth
green beans (not too much)
onions (big uns)
garlic (lots)

First you bake the 200-400 grams of meat, and when that is done, put it in tin foil and set aside.

Put the broth in a pot and boil it a little, while doing this, put chunkcs of chorizo, garlic and onions in a wok and wok them in oil.

When that is done, put the broth, rice, green beans, paprika powder, chili powder and anything else you like into the wok.
Put a lid on the wok, and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
Add the meat at the end, and boom. A huge meal for a whole family full of good stuff.
