High. About to watch the debate and then AHS.
Debating if I should order a pizza. I want to, but my stomach was hurting quite a bit until this weed just hit me. Don't want to fly too close to the sun, but I don't think one pizza will be a bad idea.
Anyway... Just trying to relax.
I love you sheekle

evening yall.
Im chilling, getting a bite to eat and thinking about getting ready for work.
Started a new job slinging cardboard for amazon last night.
only like 20 to 30 hours a week right now, but its better than nothing and they have pretty damn good benefits for part time.
There warehouse is HUGE 600,000 square feet warehouse they consider it "small" compared to the other ones that have. theres 300+ employees and move over 80,000 packages in a 4 hour shift.
Its amazing how big that company has gotten relatively quickly.
Other than that im chilling, playing hearthstone and listening to the howard stern show.
Psyched for the next new south park episode tonight but ill have to wait till after work to watch it tonight. Anyone play heroes of the storm or hearthstone and wants to play let me know.
Also im looking into getting tickets for against me! and Bad religion for next sunday, a concert the night before halloween sounds cool, who knows what crazy shit the people in the pit will be dressed like. Anyone listen to Bad religion?
Ive never heard them and was wondering if anyone had some suggestions as to where I should start listening.

Saw an ad on careerbuilder.com for an open hire event like a month ago.
It was literally schedule an appointment for the hiring event, show up and apply on a laptop there answer like 10 or 20 questions then go straight into an orientation, cheek swab drug test and get a call like a week later for more orientation and training. No real interview or anything.
Im pretty sure there still looking for people both temp and permanent directly through amazon and through temp companies in my area the temp company is SMX.
Although I would not recommend the temp company SMX, they have pretty much the same hiring process and everything but no benefits. amazon offers medical, dental, flex spending for other medical costs, 10% amazon discount (up to $100). amazon also has a bunch of other cool paid time off and unpaid time off too but its a little complex and confusing along with tuition assistance after a year.
As for the temp company SMX I got a job at amazon at a different sortation warehouse this time last year and two weeks into the job, about an hour before my shift started they called me and told me I had two options, move my job to different warehouse in san francisco about a 60 mile round trip that night with no extra pay or anything or get laid off. I literally didn't have the gas to get there to start that night so they laid me off.
if your seriously interested on getting hired there let me know, I can ask around about what website to apply at for amazon directly and get back to you.

Chasing a $70 bottle of bourbon with fruit punch gatorate. Classy shit like that.
I was a package sorter for a couple years. Gave me golfers elbow.

Package sorting is a shitty job, too much work for too little pay
You're better off in a restaurant really, which is sad

I was one of the more competent people on staff in my area, normally we would work 3 to a truck, but sometimes when a truck was going too slow they would rotate me in.
I've gone into trucks with 5 people doing jack shit, kicked them out and got it loaded by myself in time for departure. Fucking pathetic how some people's work ethic is.

Yeah I would have been good if it weren't for shitheads who can't pick up a box and put it down with the label facing up. That is what ruined my tendons is flipping boxes to see the label. I liked unloading but I would constantly be getting stopped. I would put every label facing right side up and they still would always stop me.

Thankfully its not always like that, a lot of crews I've worked with are competent with competent management where everyone pulls their weight.

Yeah my job now there are alot of good workers. I liked moving boxes but it gets pretty old after a while. Machine maintenance is where it's at for me, and it's super in demand.
