Reishi on Bastardized WL Tek

Along with many of you I'm starting on a reishi grow and wanted to give paper a try alongside a wood-based sub. There are older threads out there regarding reishi on paper, but I didn't see any with an organic plant fert supplementation or that were pic heavy or showed the process from start-to-finish...or I just wanted to start a thread. I'll update as it progresses.
200 ml h2o 7.5 ml age old grow 12-6-6 100 g paper
Loaded in jars and PC'd for 90min (overkill but I was PC'ing grain as well) and inoculated with 1/4 qt. rye spawn on 10/12. Here's a jar after a six days:

Told you so! Good job, thanks so much for posting. Fruiting or used as spawn to substrate?

I'm testing tea at the moment.

I'm going to use it as spawn to a bulk paper sub of the same formula. Thanks for all your work on the WL Tek, Ferather! It really seems to be enjoying munching on it!

Keep an eye on my T-Tek, I'm still adjusting, but I know you get the idea. Consider 20g tea per 100g paper, 40g is over supplemented.
Anyway, very interested in a log and side-by-side.

It's moving a bit slower than its grain crounterpsrts, however, it wasn't shaken as they were. Also, there are some metabolites forming on the top.

Wow, that got really thick on the grains. I'm totally interested in seeing how the paper does.

Both shots above are the same paper jar just to clarify.

Simple science, nutrition (fertilizer) + plant fiber (paper) energy and water.

By the time the bottom of the jar colonized the top was starting to pin so I decided to let it fruit in the jar as opposed to using it as spawn. It seemed like the last bit of paper to colonize had dried out a bit which may have been responsible for the extended colonization time. Anyway, here are some crummy pics:

And now you have proven my findings, more BE more yield. Top job Any metabolites, usual for reishi? Any brown patches etc?

Plain paper, not much, enriched paper however depends. He's doing 66% water content. Fully dialed to get 90% fruit body water content, should get 75% - 100%.
Given there is enough added nutrients, different fertilizer.

Actually, it was producing very little metabolites and what it was producing was clear to very light yellow. I moved it from the bench and put it in a closet next to the water heater where it's closer to 80F and it browned right up and the metabolites took on a dark brown color. Growth increased as well and it's only been in there a couple days. You can kind of make them out in the pics above...sorry, I can't get good pics with my phone. I also posted a couple pics of cubes on the same paper mix over on the cult board.

So it does piss out wood resins and oil, interesting. I also get 0 metabolites, unless bacterial.
Although I'm talking oysters.

Yeah, it is. It's also interesting that it got darker when the temp was raised from 70F to 80F. Of course, the change could have been due to time and coincidentally changed when I put it in the closet, but, I'm leaning more toward the temp as the cause.

You can even control the ratio of nutrients to energy. Not all fertilizers are the same though.

Nice I think this culture loves the heat, and the browning is what I have noticed happens right before it goes into full on fruiting. Also I have noticed the bags of mine that are closest to lights and catching the heat from the lights being far ahead from the other bags.
