Fully Aumtomated Martha/ Fruiting Chamber

I wanted to share and get your opinions on my first ever Martha build. I work allot so I went for a fully automated setup, I can leave it practically untouched for two or three days. The only maintenance I ever need to do is add water to the Reptifogger and turn the light on when I wake up and when I go to bed. My last fruiting chamber, the PMP, was a complete failure and didn't get one pin. I broke up the brown rice cakes and made a verm/BRF sub with straight verm casing. Got my very first pin today! 12 more BRF cakes colonizing.
Here is the supplies/cost list: Reptifogger: currently on sale at Petco for 35$ Zoomed reptile heatpad: On sale at Petco 20$ Zoomed Hygrotherm: Ebay 60$ Zoomed timer: 15min increments Petco 12$ Old LED aquarium light: Free in attic Old CPU fan: Free Old Multi-voltage AC/DC adapter: Free Old metal shelves: Free in attic Trash bags used for liner: Free Duct-tape:free Superglue: 1$ See-through plastic with zipper: Free, made from the bags you get blanket/sheet sets in Perlite: home depot 5$ ___________________________________
Total cost: 133$

I love this idea. But no I dont think this setup is going to work. Even if you had your fans on a timer they would dry out your substrate. I'm assuming the fans are for FEA?

the fan I can regulate speed on with ac adapter, it is also set on a timer for 15 minutes on every hour. I noticed the myc starting to get fuzzy so I decided to melt some holes through the front plastic layer to ensure co2 on bottom clears out. the combination of perlite and hygrotherm/ultrasonic keep it at a constant 88-90 rh. best of all no misting. I have to say I love this Hygrotherm, it wont let the sub dry out, it even cuts on while the fan is going to try to keep humidity up. Best investment I made was the hygrotherm, have to recommend.

I'd like a bit of privacy for guests, healthcare worker here, not very acceptable to have hobbies like these. however I made sure the Martha can get air through the open shelf next to the fan, as long as the door is open on the other side(2 door closet airflow isn't restricted

this is my first grow I gave up on my earlier brf cakes that were in the PMP. Decided to case those and try again, focused more on making new brf jars. After building this I put my tray in to test the climate, two days later this little guy pops up! http://

This is the only pin on the whole casing, should I be worried or will more come in the next couple days. I see some hyphal knots coming through the casing as well.

Martha a cheap and easy you over thought this kinda of. The first Martha i bluid cost me around that because i over thought stuff. Second one after my first cost me 30 bucks with same results. Get any cheap crappy green house like form big lots. Get a cheap crappy humifer , never pay more then 5 dallors for. Cuts four big holes in green house and silcone or duck tape tyvek on it around the holes. Now run the humifer 24/7 where you water once a day and mist the sub while you change out water in it.
The tc on here will tell you to hook up the humifer to pvc pipe outside the green house so back up pressure doesn't burn out your motor. Thats up to you. The only reason my cost 30 bucks was the green house was one of the double dexule 8 by9 feet and the shelves could hold 50 trays easy.

But just think when he moves out and wants to grow like a high roller he won't have any trouble doing that.

You'll get crops just fine. You may want to leave a crack open in the opening though, so the air doesn't get stale. Don't let anyone discourage you. You should be proud of this. There are a lot of welfare collecting drug addicts on this site, so when you say $133 they automatically think about how many less dicks they'd have to sucks to get their crack if they had a measly $133

So I'm making an update, that one pin has tripled in size today. I thought the fuzzy mycelial growth was due to having too much fog/bad fae so I turned the humidity down on the Hygro-therm to about 85% and poked holes on the front plastic sheet near the bottom for C02 escape. I also increased the voltage/speed on the fan and set it to 15 on/off then 15/hr back to 15 on/off. I noticed the verm changed color and looked dry, decided I would mist a bit with spray bottle. After four hours and two misting's about five more pins popped up and the first pin grew to abort size.
Jacob thank you for the warning about the sub drying out. After the misting's I realized I need 90+ humidity until a good number of pins pop up and have adjusted the hygrotherm. The fuzzy mycelium is likely fae so new timing should help.
Azur thank you for the encouragement. Honestly I don't think I spent much money on this set-up. 90% of the money was spent on the heating/humidity/regulation equipment. Everything else was made with free items and a bit of tape.
If I choose to upgrade to a larger FC in the attic or basement I have all the regulation equipment(would need a better heater, the heat pad can be used for the ball python I've been eying at Petco). I have stretched one spore syringe to 15 brf cakes with no contams(have some left in syringe) and will be spawning the currently colonizing 12 cakes to manure/verm/coir bulk. I think my first grow will pay for the cost of supplies, considering otherwise I would pay 30$ an eight.
