Golden Teacher vs Piopinni appearance

Hi. I'm doing a "plain sight stealth" grow. I'm planning on growing two very similar looking mushrooms, one edible, one psychedelic. At a glance of the lay person, it should appear that I am only growing one type of mushroom.
Now, this hunt for two similar looking mushrooms have proven to be very difficult, and the closest match I have found thus far is Piopinni (Agrocybe Aegerita) and Golden Teacher. They both seem to be around the same size, and seem to cluster the same. In early stages, the caps appear to be near the same color. This is only the images of either I have found on google, as I've never seen either in real life.
Could anybody outline the similarities and differences between the two? Or maybe point me to another strain (or two) that look similar to each other? THank you.

Ok easy. Stealth never works. If they see it they assume its magic mushrooms. Even if you actually grow edibles as your only mushrooms people at farmer market's people will ask for actives. So here is a better more common edibles look a likes in pin form. King oysters, maybe something else. But remember 95% of lay people don't know the baby buttons, crimme, and portabella are all the same mushroom in different fruiting stages. Best to hide mushroom production all together.

If you really want stealth, then truffles seem like a good option. No fruiting required.

You're looking for a specific strain of cube that looks like an edible mushroom? The logic doesn't fit, friend. For one thing, cubes all look like cubes. Even fucked up strains of albino PE look like cubes. If you think there's some strain that is going to reliably look like an edible in order to dupe people who have no idea what they're looking at anyway, well, I don't agree with that. And yes, when you talk about growing mushrooms, nobody assumes you're some legit gourmet mushroom grower -- everyone is going to assume you mean "magic mushrooms." IMO this idea is retarded. Either you have a situation where you can grow, or you don't. It sounds like you don't. If you've never grown any mushrooms before, you're not really starting off on the right foot here. The advice on growing sclerotia is solid, though. Maybe look into that.

Hi guys! Thanks for your help. I'm aware that you might not think my stealth idea is the greatest option, but due to my circumstances it works out very well. I'd simply like to know if anybody thinks GT looks relatively similar to Piopinni?

seems like growing mushrooms should be priority number 2,044,324 if you have to try to cover it up with a edible species.

Your question comes from the assumption that a certain strain of cube grown from multispore will consistently look a certain specific way, which just isn't true. At least not true enough for what you want to do. There is more than one reason that everyone is saying this is a goofy idea. Listen, or don't, but that's the consensus.

Thank you for explaining that. Does that also mean that Pioppini and other edibles also vary in appearance? Or maybe they don't since they're sold as LC?

I don't get your plan, are you expecting people to see them and ask for some, in which case you give them the inactive ones? if not why bother growing the inactives and just grow actives and say they are inactive.
Cubes look like pretty normal mushrooms to me. If you are in a country where selling dry shrooms is common they will still usually be dry and people will still usually not be aware what fresh ones look like. Truffles are the way to go as said.
I had a tub of fresh cubes in a friends house and offered them to another guy I know, who has taken and picked shrooms before, liberty caps. He was very wary and thought I was taking the piss, telling me they were not magic mushrooms. Cubes were on sale in my country for a few years but he did not recognise them at all as being magic mushrooms. While I think the liberty caps he is used to are more distinct looking compared to cubes.

The people I live with know that I've been in love with mushrooms for a long time (edibles). They think I finally got around to actually growing my own, in which case they'll see me harvesting cooking and eating them. Also, I am legitimately interested in growing mushrooms FOR growing mushrooms (I enjoy the process and the taste). Since I will be growing mushrooms anyway, might as well grow actives. To me, the strain doesn't matter, so I might as well grow two similar looking strains just to avoid any problem.
It's not like the others in the tread think where I'm only growing inactives as a coverup. I am legitimately interested in them.
