UK Forrest shroom identification

Habitat:
UK South West Woods/Forrest .

Gills:
See picture

Stem:
Long thin white/cream,  no fluid when broken.

Cap:
Small diameter,  doomed.

Spore print color:
Light brown,  although very faint and hard to tell.

Bruising: can't see any

Forrests are the wrong place to be looking, except maybe a fly agaric I think... and p. cyanescens apparently, though I have never seen any.

That btw, was not an expert opinion, just that of someone that has been looking for a little while :smile:

The magic mushrooms you stand a chance of finding in that habitat are Psilocybe cyanescens. You could also look up Pluteus salicinus and explore Gymnopilus - one active species we have here (though it is non-native and occurs in woodchip) is G. dilepis. Neither of those are very commonly found or collected. Nothing with white spores is magic.
