I was stupid with oven bags and inoculation

I've been experimenting with oven bags in a pressure cooker to sterilize bulk substrate and rye berries. Incidentally, the bags do NOT melt to the pressure cooker as I had feared, though I did make sure to make small cuts covered with micropore tape to allow gas to escape the bags.
Everything is hunky dory with the bulk sub but everything with the berries has become contaminated (while jars have been fine). I realized a bit too late that having my micropore tape injection sites directly against the berries was a stupid stupid idea as that is where the contamination sites have begun.
I'm out a lot of rye berries and learned a lesson the hard way. I'm frustrated and just felt like venting.
Any advice for oven bag inoculation in the future? And I guess I could post pics if anyone is interested.

there are plenty of good writeups to read, just search around. are you sure it was just micropore tape and not also longer sterilization times needed for larger volumes?

I'm pretty sure. The contaminants started forming against the micropore tape and I PCed the bags for a bit over an hour. Maybe you're right and that wasn't a sufficient amount of time. Ended up emptying them into a treeline
On a happier note, my first monotub got pins today. They are eeeverywhere

An hour is not long enough. The sugested time for jars is an hour and half at 15psi. I do 2.5 hrs as I dont have a gauge and got it almost 10 years ago so not sure of my psi. If you can get a solid 15psi with yours I would say go 3 hrs with a big ass bag full. Longer won't hurt so long as you don't run your pc dry.
