Also, in my experience, doing a small dose to start will help eliminate some of the blast off jitters.

Usually,  I remember in the middle of the small one that the spirit is loving and beautiful, and I have no reason to fear it

To answer your question dusty bottoms, shredded is fine. Youll be boiling it for 1hr45mins 4 separate times (in the tek I recommend) so shredded should allow you to get everything out of it.

I can't imagine powered makes a difference. If it looks like you still have alot left on the last boil, and don't wanna leave anything behind just do another boil and reduce a little more.

Thanks.

Which tek do you recommend?  I'm not sure that it matters at this point since I already spent so much on the supplies for the joshishom tek, but im just curious.

While DMT does sound like an amazing drug, I am not really hearing many people talking about it being a life-changing or life-improving experience.

Do you guys agree that it's really more of just a "fun" thing and more for the "experience" than it is for it teaching you something or having a profound impact on your life?

I can look back on some (not all but some) mushroom or LSD trips, and it having a very positive effect on my life.  Does DMT have the potential to do the same or is it just a mind-altering drug at the end of the day?

Smoked DMT, probably not. Oral DMT? Definitely.

Huh.  I haven't heard of this, then again I haven't really searched for it either.  Just eat the crystals?  Or is there a different process altogether when extracting it?

You need to use Syrian Rue seed, or B. Caapi vine, or Moclobemide, to activate DMT orally. Then you can either ingest the pure DMT crystals, or make a tea or residue from a DMT-containing plant. You can also ingest the Mimosa or Acacia root powder in capsules after taking the Rue, Caapi, or Moclobemide, but it'd be better to go with residue in capsules rather than ingesting to root powder itself.

I think that many people just look at it as a "fun" thing because of its short duration. "Hey doods we got a half hour to kill, lets light up some deems!"

*fart noise*

It's all about what you're willing to get out of it. I've only had sub-breakthrough trips so far and to be honest, they have changed my whole world view and my own understanding of self. In many ways I have radically shifted from who I was previously because I was open to the experience and saw the value in what I was presented with.

Is it just a mind-altering drug? Well yes, but so are mushrooms and LSD and... and... and... It's not the substance that is going to change your life. It's you having the experience and then integrating that experience into your daily life that is going to have the potential to change you.

DMT is is very much a life changing experience. It's quite literally where you go when you die. When they've given DMT to shamans from the Amazon and yogis from India and asked them about their experiences, they say that the place you go is the afterlife, and that the entities that you encounter are ancestor spirits.

Quite literally, these are the souls of the departed out there, living an existence far too complex for our 3 dimensional minds to comprehend. Terence McKenna has some great talks about DMT and what it means for society on YouTube. DMT is there for us as the universe's catalyst to provide us a preview of the afterlife.

What I personally take away from the DMT experience that I find so transformative and life changing, is that it indicates that the human experience doesn't end at this mode of existence. This lifetime is simply a metamorphosis into something more complex and meaningful, and as much as we might try to understand it during this lifetime, the concepts of the afterlife are too sophisticated to completely comprehend with smoked DMT.

DMT is not a "fun" thing, really. While you might enjoy the experience, it's not really a drug that can be used in a party setting, and that's not really how you'll end up getting the most out of it.

I used to be an atheist and then DMT changed my life. I had already had countless psychedelic experiences with LSD, mushrooms, MDMA, 2C-B, MDA, etc, and none of them touched me in such a profound way as DMT.

Other people answered it well already. But I'll say something too.

DMT is like diving into an ocean of pure information for like 20 minutes. You can pull extremely useful things out of it. Or you cannot. There's no way to tell beforehand. Sometimes you do it and you don't learn anything specific, but you still get that awesome connection with the universe that you get on LSD or Mushrooms. I at least get that feeling almost every time I do DMT, but I learn specific things as well.

I've had DMT slap me in the face with shit I've needed to learn at a certain stage in my life. And I'm definitely better for it.

And also. Since it's so quick, it can be even MORE amazing.

Because it's like...
Your sober. Then 5 minutes later you're in DMT-space... Then 10 minutes later you're sober again... So you can very easily compare your normal state to the Psychedelic state.
Like a stark Black/White contrast between Sober state and Psychedelic state. So whatever DMT shows/teaches you is made completely in-your-face obvious and you can't deny it. I guess that's maybe why Terence McKenna called DMT the "Ultimate Convincer"

It's like instant Psychedelic information-retrieval.

Pretty much what I was going to say...

I personally feel that smoked DMT does not offer me much "time" or the proper sort of "space" for a "life improving" experience (or a healing/learning experience) like a long proper mushroom, LSD, cactus, or oral DMT experience can..It's just so rapid, reality shattering, so chaotic and far out that it's incredibly difficult to bring anything back that can be applied to my self or my life....

....Life changing, drastically changing someones view of the universe/reality just from the novelty of the experience and going places/experiencing things/contacting entities one never thought possible , I definitely think so....but I really don't feel that smoking the stuff offers me much time or the proper sort of space/experience for improving one's self and life....or at least no where near the potential it has in this area when taken orally.

Taking DMT orally in combo with syrian rue or the ayahuasca vine...I think this route is by far one of the best psychedelics for catalyzing life improvement, getting lots of work done on oneself, healing/cleansing out a bunch of baggage, learning about oneself and nature's systems.

Smoked DMT for me is more sort of a "I just want to see what happens" sort of thing (not to make it sound like I take the stuff lightly, because I don't....or not seriously, because I do)...It's such a novel thing to experience, reality shattering, eye opening & mind opening, and it is thought provoking and brings up a bunch of things to ponder about "reality"...Not at all "fun", though maybe a dash of "thrilling" :smirk: , and very interesting :yesnod: :strokebeard:.

:super: Excited for ya man! I'd let that thing keep sitting for a while. It never hurts to wait during the freeze precipitation process because just when you think it's done it's not done lol.

Acacia rocks!
