I found these today and wonder if these are magic mushrooms or not. Your help is much appreciated! They feel very stiff and had a touch of violet color to them... Holding my thumbs!

You should make your own thread and fill out the template to the best of your ability when asking for mushrooms to be identified. In this case seeing the underside (Gills and stem) along with knowing the habitat will help. Given the spore color I am going to guess Pluteus in which case probably not good to eat.

Thanks for your answer, but would you mind explaining why you think so for an amateur like me?

Everything he said is correct and necessary though for a definitive ID, he doesn't say it to talk down.

At it again. Does any of these have magical attributes? The one to the left in particular made me most excited.

Its kind of hard to make them out, but I think the one on the left is a Panaeolus species and the rest are Conocybe. Nothing that will get you high and you certainly don't want to eat the Conocybe. What color spores do they have?

Thanks for your time!
The one to the left has a deep dark brown color of its spores, while the rest are of yellow color. I should add that they are still moisture in this picture

Was its brown or black without any brown hues? The others sound like they have a spore color with Conocybe, mycologists usually call it rusty brown.

By the lack of memory and pictures I can't tell for sure... But I remember the foot was incredibly firm and smooth and the cap had visible vertical stripes. No clear nipple on the hat.

Panaeolus acuminatus I think. Psilocybe semilanceata has a sticky cap cuticle and a firm, fibrous white stipe.

What about the 3 pictures to the left? They do have a pointy cap and the foot is really firm... Does Panaeolus acuminatus have a firm foot aswell?

They have a smooth red stipe though like Panaeolus acuminatus.

ok I see, I guess I have to throw these away then
It has been raining 5 days straight here, and so I'm wondering what color the cap of the Psilocybe Semilanceata would have if I found them? Would they be more white, along with the stipe? Thanks though Joie
Edit: And what color would the dried Psilocybe Semilanceata have of the stipe VS Panaeolus acuminatus?

Generally wet libs are more olivaceous, libs that are drying are a creamy colour. The stipe is white but might dry brownish, and light blueing might be prominent, partly depends how it dried, and how dry. It shrivels so at that point you'd be looking to the caps for clues if possible. But in the field it is generally the last thing to go so you often see a sturdy pale lib on a white stipe.
