Heyyy Shroomery...
This is the first time I have done the Spawn Bag Tek and was wondering if you guys could help me out with a few questions I had?
Okay first I was wondering if anyone had heard before that you arent supposed to break up 5 Grain Spawn Bags at the 2 week mark? Like I said I have never done this tek before but I know that I have heard to promote speed of Mycelium Growth in the Spawn Bags that around the 2 week mark (Which is where mine are at) that you are supposed to break it up within the bag in order to speed up the Mycelium Growth..
However the place where I ordered these spawn bags from gave me a little guide and they say not to break up the 5 grain bags which is what I have... So I was wondering if anyone had ever heard of this before or broken them up and what happened?
Here are a few pictures of my bags.. The first one is B and the Second one is Cambodian.. They were both inoculated on 10/4/16
Spawn Bag #1 (B )

Spawn Bag #2 (Cambodian)

Heres a picture of my Bags and where they are at progress wise right now.. So let me know if you think I should in fact break these up even though the guide provided to me for this tek says not to for the 5 Grain Bags...
Now I have read on here so much how slow this Tek takes and how so many people hate it but so far I havent had any problems and I mean its pretty much right at the 2 week mark and it seems to be coming along pretty well..
I have a bunch of Bulk Casing that I bought to mix these bags with when they are ready and was planning on putting them in a few 3 inch Deep Plastic Trays as opposed to having a Mono Tub and was wondering at what point to do I mix these bags with the Bulk Casing I have and if Trays were the method everyone would recommend?
Also I have a around 50 Jars Colonizing right now as well using just the regular Pf Tek Method and was wondering if anyone suggested that I possibly break a couple of those up and mix them with the COIR Bulk Casing I have and put them in trays as well? I have never done this method before so I dont want to get over my head but I thought sacrificing a few of my jars when I had so many wouldn;t hurt.. What is everyones thoughts?

Those bags are ridden with bacteria. And there is no air space to even try to shake. Learn agar. Make your own bags. Oh, and I actually shake my bags every 3 to 5 days to prevent them from overheating.

Does that last pic of the bottom of bag #2 look "green" and dusty to anyone else? I can't see well because... shadows

We usually shake bags once at around 30-50% colonization, making sure that no grains are left in the gussets at the bottom.
I agree with Azur in that your bags don't look very healthy.
