I.D request from my latest peak district trip
    #23744533 - 10/17/16 05:32 AM (7 years, 3 months ago)

Habitat:
Found these growing about half way up some of the taller hills in the peaks, usually meadows with some sheep grazing, looking at little sedges' and the likes. We seem to have found 2 different types primarily.

Gills:
Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
From what i can tell the gills aren't attached on either batches however the paper towel batch had darker gills. Which I assumed may have been from spore release if my elderly liberty cap theory was to be true.

Stem:
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
Stems ranged from 1-3mm diameter and between 2" and 5". The darker mushrooms ion the paper towels were larger and seemed to have a crimson stem when fresh, drying into a darker brown compared to the smaller ones that dried to a more pale yellowy brown.

Cap:
Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
The smaller and paler mushies had much smaller caps between afew mm to 1 cm whereas the larger browner ones had caps up to 2.5 cm wide. Many of the larger brown ones seemed to have little pointed nipples on the top of the cap. All this lead me to think they may have been simply older libs that the cold had gotten to.

Spore print color:
Very important!
The paper towel batch or larger and darker mushrooms produced black spore prints whereas the smaller more liberty looking ones were a lighter , brownish print.

Bruising:
Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.
They all seem to just bruise dark-brown/black.

Other information:
I tried to upload some close-ups however they did'nt seem to want to be associated with this post. I uploaded them separately to my profile though.
