Gym ID ~ Some Help Please

Habitat:
Growing out of root ball of fallen tree, didn't have time to inspect tree for positive ID. Ground litter indicated conifers and hardwoods in area. Very wet, drainage area at bottom of school yard. Northern NJ October time frame.
Gills: Yellow to dark brown at some tips (look at top left of close up underside) Adnexed.
Stem: Thin, fibrous, stained a dark rust/brown with a greenish-blue hue to inner core this morning, not noticeable hours later (almost looked like dipped in watery laundry detergent).
Cap: Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
Half inch to 4 inches, convex to plaining out in largest cap. Yellow to dark orange. Growing as a cluster together. Very thin horizontal profile when growing tight to the root ball like many gym fruitings I've seen on here. That sorta layered look...
Spore print color:
I rubbed the stems with the pictured paper towel to dry/remove dirt and can see a rust color to it and simply not said dirt. My prints are always very slow. Like nothing hours later from this morning but a moisture mark. Between the stained stems and the smudging I'd say rust. Thoughts? You can see the reddish/burnt tinge in upper right pretty well when zoomed.
Bruising: I don't know if you'd attribute the darkening of stems to spores and/or bruising but they're definitely dark, the smaller caps have bruises but I didn't cause them (is that really a difference?)
Other information: If these are active you guys have popped my hunting cherry... I think this is the closest I've gotten...

They might be Armillaria but they look more like Pholiota to me, definitely not Gymnopilus.
