What to do on probation?
#23742964 - 10/16/16 03:36 PM (7 years, 3 months ago) |

So I just recently started probation, getting piss tested and hair tested for the next 6 months, and I noticed that I have a lot of free time now. It's weird, and not gonna lie I have no idea what to do with it. So I was wondering if any of y'all have been in my position before, and could possibly tell me things I could do to make this probation a bit easier and go by a little quicker?

Get a decent cheap instrument to learn, read, look for work.
Make a list of positive goals you should work towards. Network.
There are a lot of things you could be doing, find a legal way to get some income for one.

Getting a job at the moment would be kind of difficult because of school. I'm used to a high school work load, but this is my first year at college and I'm swamped in essays and textbook reading. The other suggestions though could work, I used to play bass and haven't picked it up in a while, mostly because I left it at home due to the fact that my dorm is kinda small and there isn't a whole lot of room for stuff.

Are you good on an income for now then or just too busy to look for work? Selling random stuff on craigslist and or ebay can be pretty simple.
Grab your bass sometime then, maybe look into a cheap headphone amp to practice with.
With a wall hanger or stand/ case a bass doesn't take up too much space either.
Just tuck it away in a corner or something, under your bed perhaps

6 months probation is a cake walk. I did a lot of probation and some acid and kratom, as well as some pussy.
If you are going sober make some money or get some education. It looks good to the probation department and judge if you make some effort.

Have been looking into that actually, there's dozens of legal herbs out there like Wild Dagga, Damiana, Kanna, Horny Goat Weed, Dokha, etc. So I've been thinkin about it, but more research needs to be done on my part before I decide rather or not I wanna try 'em

My probation is sort of unique. I'm the First Offender Drug Program, and it's 6 months long, can't be any shorter, can't be any longer. So doing extra curricular shit at this point for the court is kinda pointless. But I might end up doing some more stuff anyways just to take up free time.

My first stretch of probation there was a 'no intoxicant' clause. That would make kratom or any other so called "legal high" a violation.
Figure what you want to do with your life and head that direction. For some people catching a case was simply a wrong path.
It was for me. I would love to legally be involved in mind altering plants but it's largely taboo. So,I drink beer and worry about the cold grip of death a little bit. Nothing is going to largely change my situation in any direction.

Don't think of them as legal highs and you won't be disappointed, I have heard dagga is similiar to a mild cannabis high and that is probably the most you will get out of most. If you are being drug tested it may be smart to just sober up for the duration but if you really don't want to do that definitely do research.
Kratom might be a good option for example but depending on your history with opiates and the testing you may not want to go that route. I have heard they have developed tests for some of the alkaloids in kratom but I am not positive. Do you know what you are being tested for or is it pretty general? I wonder if LSA would show up as LSD on standard drug tests...

Not necessarily sure, I know I'm tested for alcohol because I'm under the age of 21, so they give me EtG tests and hair follicle tests as well. If I'm going to do research on these legal drugs, it might be a smart idea for me to do more research on drug testing, and all the possible drugs that can be found via a hair test and piss test.

There is no cannabis substitute. Daggers falls wildly short in my experience. I floated by knowing when I was tested and elimination times. Hair tests will majority bum you down. They might even be able to see mystery substances, I don't know.

Sorry that I have nothing to contribute, but something random that I always wondered and figured some of ya'll posting in this thread might know...
If one gets put on probation with drug testing, and they've been a heavy pot smoker for a while.....what happens when that person continues to test positive for cannabis for at least a month or two into the probation/drug tests because of all the cannabis metabolites accumulated in their system? How do they determine the person hasn't smoked recently while on probation, and that it's just residual cannabinoids/metabolites in the persons system from being a long time smoker? Do they look at the concentration of such metabolites and just make sure it's becoming less and less over time?

That is why I said mild I have heard people say it is like a mild stoned feeling though.
Did you just buy random dagge? I know someone who grows it and uses it for smoking blends.

Ya it was from online. Tasted bad and so did Kanna. Kratom was the most worthwhile but it kept me awake and not using led to agitation also from not using cannabis.
Cannabis metabolite levels should and will go,down. So they expect to see lower levels as time goes on. A heavy user can take five years of not using to go to zero.

I doubt kava would show up on any drug tests. It's definitely worthwhile.

Problem with legal so called highs is the side effects. Kava has been reported to risk liver metabolites. Use sparringly. Nothing is going to be safe for daily on probation. Nothing is as good as cannabis.
I got away with a lot of ahit on probation. Not worth the stress anymore so the point and purpose was taken. Honestly it takes a lot of time and stress to get off illegal ways.
