So this cant be good
    #23742901 - 10/16/16 03:17 PM (7 years, 3 months ago)

This is my first attempt at using my own spore prints, harvested a couple fruits placed them on some foil and covered with a drinking glass for 24 hrs.  Sense they have dropped I kept the spores on the foil in a ziplock bag.  Boiled some distilled water for 15 minutes, sucked up and expunged it a few times out of the syringe while it was boiling hot.  Then I filled the syringe and let it sit to cool for a few hours.  Cleaned a shot glass with alcohol, let it dry and scraped some spores into the glass.  Used the cooled syringe and squirted and sucked up the spores.  I then allowed the spores to hydrate for 24 hours.  I mixed up the BRF and pressure cooked the jars for 90 minutes at 15 psi.  I used a different kind of vermiculite this time that I found at lowes (Sta-Green).  After allowing the jars to cool over night I then knocked them up with the syringe that I had made.  Injected each jar with 1ml of solution and alcohol swabbing & flaming before each jar.  Now with a little over a week I am getting some blue and black spots along with the usual mycelium growth.  Suggestions on where I may have went wrong?  I presume these jars are shot... ?

The vermiculite used:

Any help/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

I suggest uploading them somewhere with a semblance of security, like here.

Most def that's mold. You may have messed up when you sanitized the shot glass vs sterilizing it.

That is deff bad toss it try putting your print to agar first to make sure it's clean or to isolate a clean sample even a dirty print can be used  I personally find the pasty plate and tiger drop method fool proof there are just so many ways what your doing can go wrong unless you have proper lab equipment or ghetto rigged yourself some decent gear

I just use a clear tote from walmart with a couple of holes cut for hand access.

If you did it in open air, the prints probably got loaded with mold spores. They're literally everywhere. If you hold your thumb and forefinger about an inch apart, the space between has several hundred thousand mold spores in it. That's how widespread they are. Probably should have went to agar first to clean it up. Take your prints in a SAB to help minimize contams, you may have or you may not have, you didn't specify on that.

EDIT: Shit, for some reason the whole thread didn't show up when I first looked. When I posted, all of a sudden it showed that you had already been given the same advice. My bad

I also use a clear tote(sab) your fine just check your sterile process and then do it again you should be alright but watch a few videos on agar honestly i think it has improved my general skills 100% including sterility, agar skills, and basic understanding of mycelium growth
