Need a little help
    #23740693 - 10/15/16 07:27 PM (7 years, 3 months ago)

I found these in south Texas, on a cattle ranch. Ive taken shrooms before but never hand picked them. I did alittle research on checking to see if they are "magic shrooms" but I could not tell due to the hardness of the stem. If I could get alittle help it would be much appreciated.http://http://[image]http://www.shroomery.org/forums/thumbs/16-41/658047590-thumb_image.jpg[/imagefiles.shroomery.org/files/16-41/658047990-image.jpg]

I been researching this fucking thing for 3 days now, there is no proper identification process that you can research. Hints the reason I joined this website. But yes you are correct. It is a sketchy situation asking on the internet. But thanks for your input.

This is one of those things where no one can help you if you don't help yourself. Do you really want to rely on a stranger over the internet's opinion of this sort of thing? Mushroom picking can be dangerous. Yes, identifications on this site are such an asset, especially for beginners, but if you want to pick wild mushrooms you should atleast know the basics of identification enough to make a general determination and provide enough verbal and visual information for someone to positively identify the species in question.

Do some reading. More pictures next time and a spore print.

You cearly haven't read anything if you think there is no identification process, spore print, pictures of the gills, any bruising, what they were growing on etc. Like XLcaps said, do some reading from the proper sources.

Go buy a book, talk to a mushroom picker, don't put your life in the internet's hands.

I work nights out here in Texas and I really don't do much of anything, hits the way I found that shroom. But yea,all I've been doing is reading y'all's blogs, reading comments and also just a simple google search. And I've come to the conclusion that the "spore print" is the ticket and I had no clue about that. But the problem still is finding legit ones to grow from. Please at anytime correct me. Is there a way of buying spores?.. I'm not sure if I can say that or not so please excuse my language.

Way to turn a Shroomery post into a garbage political conversation / debate. Please remember: In polite conversation you don't discuss politics or religion.
Please keep your post on topic. Don't stir the pot with political conjecture.
Good luck with your mushroom. I hope somebody can answer your question for you.

You're kidding right? Remember ALWAYS try to remind people to use their manners on the internet? lol what a joke, almost as much of a joke as either of the US presidential candidates actually being elected.
