Awesome thanks!
Gonna be a tasty breakfast tomorrow
First time successfully wild harvesting something edible. Although, pretty sure I've seen oysters around plenty.
And that video, holy shit lol

I found more than that youtuber in my woods.
I will post the video soon.
I picked maybe 3 to 4 pounds, and froze them. But I was cleaning as I picked so it took a while. I picked maybe 2% of the total volume of mushrooms.
I estimate there is like 100 to 200 pounds of mushrooms in that forest, Honey Mushrooms.
It's like that guy's video, very similar, except I found a large stump, and you can't see the stump, it became one huge honey mushroom castle. Probably 200+ mushrooms just on that stump. And there are many stumps in that forest, and many downed logs. I imagine the whole 10 acres is just covered in them.
wish I could sell them somehow!

2016 was a good year, +5 lb of Morels, and I ate 8 new species of wild mushrooms: Herecium, Chanterelles, Black Trumpets, Parasol Mushroom, Fairy Ring Mushroom (marasmius oreades), Wild Oyster, Slippery Jacks, Honey Mushrooms (found over 100lb, froze 4lb in my freezer.) Reference Pictures for Mushrooms

that guy did say he was going to sell them. Set up a stand at the end of your driveway haha. Just be sure to say to cook them well. And avoid the man telling you you can't do that lol

They seem to cause G.I. distress in some people. I introduced 2 people to honey's this season and it happened to both. My sense is that it has to do with eating big stems though I'm not sure. Also read that a number of mushroom clubs no longer want them in potluck dinners etc.
I'm really curious on what the actual cause of the issue is if anyone can shed light on it. Never had a problem with little ones like below but I'm now hesitant to serve them.
