Identification of strain
    #23740392 - 10/15/16 04:37 PM (7 years, 4 months ago)

Hello,

I got a small growbox as a present, the problem is that the strain of this ones was not indicated anywhere. Would you take a try on identifying these little happy guys?

PS My first post here, brilliant forum by the way, I trust it more than the Bible.

Cubensis.

"Strain" names are very arbitrary.
There is little variation in cubensis and what variation there is is best denoted as varieties, cultivars or races instead of strains.

Strain has a completely different meaning, vendors just call them strains as marketing wank.

:whathesaid:
The strain is hard to tell because genetics vary a lot. Some golden teacher and mazatapec grows i have done looked like this. But it is impossible to identify the correct cubensis strain (if its not a strain with strong characteristics like PE or albino)

Thank you all. Pretty much, they look like any other variety I've seen. I hoped that there are some characteristics, like cap diameter to stem diameter ratio, growth speed, etc. that help to make a distinction between them.

all the characteristics you named can be different within every single strain. Just enjoy your successful grow and make some spore prints to continue your work without the need of buying a new grow kit.
