Can you tell me what to look for In the uk? because I'm in fields going for the smallest long stemmed conical mushrooms I can find hoping for them to be confirmed magic :frown:

Sorry- those are some nice finds and if you keep looking enough, you'll find something. Perhaps do some research into what actives grow in your area and in what environment they grow. Have a good day.

Sorry i responded before I saw your question- while I don't know much about UK hunting, liberty caps (psilocybe semilanceata) are out now and if you keep looking in open fields with long grass and do some research into how to identify them, you will likely find some soon enough.

I really don't think there are any cinctulus or pans at all in these photos.

As to magic mushrooms where you are, liberty caps are your best bet, and looking at many pictures (such as these here https://www.shroomery.org/12510/Psilocybe-semilanceata) and getting a sense of what to look for will be your best asset.

2nd photo - Is the third from the bottom showing blue in the base of the stem?  Maybe just a camera artifact?
