Hey guys, I found these growing in Eastern CT at a state park. Trying to see if their edible and what species they are.
Habitat: They were found growing on very old, dead tree fall (Most likely hardwood)
Gills: Light rusty brown gills
Stem: Length: 3-5 inches, diameter~ 1.5 cm, firm texture, yellowish flesh, different smell in stem,
Cap: Diameter: 2-6 inches, caramel rusty light brown color, texture: pretty smooth with some roughness , convex
Spore print color: Lots of rusty brown spores and juices
Bruising: Didn't notice much bruising, just lots of rusty brown juices and spores. I couldn't find any young aborts to see if they bruised blue.
Other information: It has a sweet, fruity like odor that I understand is common in gymnopilus species. Here are some pics:

It's hard to tell, it seems to match up with several gymnopilus species, but I'm just quite unsure.

OK y'all well I'm gonna toss these shrooms. Just wanted to get some help identifying at least their genus because I don't want to be that guy to eat the wrong gilled orange mushroom. If anyone sees this and could possibly recognize it please message me because I know where there are more growing.
Thanks

Caps is similar to Gymnopilus picreus

About Gymnopilus- The lack of green staining strongly suggests that these are not active. And some person who Ate Gymnopilus said that they usually weak but active and sometimes rarely after drying them they would dry with a shade of blue or green on the stems

Some mushrooms that are edible for most people can cause allergic reactions in some individuals, and old or improperly stored specimens can cause food poisoning

Yea, no bruising was evident. I'm thinking of purchasing a microscope to help with identification. I really just wanna trip on a mushroom I find on the ground from where I live, and those would be gyms since I live on the east coast.
