Do a google search for "US Income Inequality" and choose any site you like. The data is all very consistent.

Ive also gone through wake up calls that made me want to do this. I was struggling opiate benzo barbituate whatever addiction for a long time and overdosed once almost died and realized i needed to change my life. shouldnt of taken me that long i dropped out of high school at 16 (in rehab) and got my GED a few weeks after dropping out. Since than at 16 i went to a two year college got my AA degree and am now in a 4 year college after this going to dental school. Say i make 300,000 a year for dentistry. Something i have worked extremely hard for. Making 300,000 a year realistically my income tax will be around 35% 35% of 300,000 is 105,000. Your telling me the government should take 100k out of my income which is more than most people even make, Just for working hard? This isn't fictional by the way that is my life.
That's great! But only the income you earn above $400,000 is taxed at 35% (everything below that is taxed at the same rate as everyone else. Also, you're going to get to take a lot of tax deductions so your effective tax will be far less. Finally, we can't do a flat tax as that would devastate the lower income workers (it's a lot easier to pay 25% of a lot than 25% of a little).
I will do that google search.
And correct right now it is not 35% at 300k. the tax raise that would happen especially that hillary is proposing would likely put an earner of 300k at 35%. even at 30% 30% of 300k is 90k. Even if i get tax returns and i end up paying 75k a year in taxes. thats 75k that can go towards food schooling whatever for my family. That means 75k of what people pay to ME to fix their mouths is going to the goverment. And what are they doing with it? paving un needed roads? Instituting more common core bullshit? Albeit i don't mind paying taxes to be a contributing member of society. But the government doesn't deserve that much. Right now there making everything worse

I'll bet the roads that lead to your future office will be paid for by taxes.
By the way, I pay more than $75k in taxes. But I don't complain because I still get to keep far more than the vast majority of Americans.

I think I did. Check out the "About me (and you)" sticky thread if you want a little more info (that's about all the personal info I care to share). Sounds like you're working very hard yourself. It should pay off for you.
