Yes I am a total noooob and can't figure out if this is cobweb mold or mycelium... I'm pretty new to all this and am learning from reading everything on here also following the TK method only thing of is the jar size so I tripled the recipe... each of my 3 jars have this in it... I started out small to see if I was doing everything right. It does look kinda gray but also very white at spots. I also made 3 more jars today an do the recipe seemed to only fill a little more then half the jar... which the new one does I got are pint jars...

That's not gonna work out well at all for you... unless by some miracle it does fully colonize, and then you top fruit it. Maybe.

If its not a wide mouth jar that's going to be impossible to birth. Half pints are recommended, so it doesn't stall or sour in the middle from compaction and lack of GE.

If you have a pc to sterile them then just make grain spawn. If not pints could work but have the same drawbacks as qt jars for cakes. Just go back and read some of the old cake teks.

That's what I just did. Looked up old Tek seemed I was doing a few things wrong to maximize my growth... How do I find the Tek for grain? I did use a pc on these.

For others it all depends. Easiest grain to prep is cracked corn. Just soak in water for 24 hours, drain on a window screen for a hour. Load in jars and pressure cook at 15 psi for two hour. And knock up after they cool.
