SALVIA GNOMES
    #23720238 - 10/08/16 06:10 PM (7 years, 4 months ago)

Okay listen, I’ve just about had enough. I have done salvia maybe a hundred times. And for one reason. To try and understand what is with these god damn Gnomes. Many people I have spoken with have smoked themselves into this cartoon Gnome village. Every time I do large amounts of high extract salvia I get sucked into the fabric of space where there are Gnomes working on a vast machine. And I’ve just about had E GOD DAMN NOUGH. What the in world is this place?

Every time I do salvia I try to come back with another artifact or a nugget of information or one coherent vision or thought from the Gnome machine to see if I can’t eventually put together some kind of model of what it is I am seeing/experiencing. And this is what I’ve been able to come up with thus far in my ten years of experimenting with dried salvia extract:

I always arrive in a slightly different way. Sometimes I come in as an item on a conveyer belt or on a ferris wheel, through a zipper, or sometimes they throw ropes at my body and basically lasso me in and pull my body through into their dimension. These are not metaphors either. I am talking about LITERALLY. Gnomes will appear with an agenda and a past, and a history that they have with me personally, Throw ropes through whatever dimension they are from and pull me in from ours. The strange part is, is that every time I arrive at this place on salvia I suddenly and completely understand why I am there, how I got there and what this place is. Right when I get in I think to myself,
“Oh yeah! thats right this is what reality really is. How silly of me that I had forgotten, well back to work with the gnomes then”.
Once I’m In the Gnome world they are usually pretty excited to see me. Like REALLY excited. I’m talking balloons and confetti kind of shit, Im talking french horn band blowing excitement. I mean these little dwarves are fucking ecstatic to the point of hysteria happy to see me. BUT I get the feeling inside they are happy in sort of a way that a kidnapper would be happy to have recaptured an escaped victim. Its kind of a wary and eerie feeling that they are playing dumb and cute just to please you for some reason. I start to get this feeling that... it isn’t that I smoked Salvia and am seeing Gnomes, rather, The Gnomes wanted to see me so I smoked Salvia. Like smoking salvia is the Gnomes way of summoning me back. but when I start to get uneasy about this they begin to give this “Don’t ask any more questions about this” kind of vibe.
And that I think is exactly when things start to get really fucked. In my head thats when I start thinking ok time to leave. Im getting out of here, but then the chaos ensues, the machine fires up, and you’re a part of it in someway or another, sometimes I’m a shoe on a shoe factory getting all the stitching pulled out, once i was a Cheez-It being mined with pickaxes for my minerals by these Gnomes. It’s always something. But for some reason, this isn’t even the most terrifying part. In my opinion the most terrifying part comes next. When everything starts to unravel, and dissipate and fold up, and evaporate, because at this point in the trip I believe and am comfortable with the fact that I am and have always lived my life as a part of this Gnome world. So when I start coming down off salvia, I start to feel like my whole world is completely collapsing and folding into itself. And the really REALLY terrifying part is that the Gnomes and the Gnome world just all the sudden forget about you. It would be sort of like being at a family reunion, having this big event with your family that you haven’t seen in a long time, and then you start to disappear and start screaming for help but no one notices and then, they act like you never existed. That is the feeling I have coming down off a level 5 salvia trip, only to be completely relieved to feel my body again and remember that I have not actually been sucked into the cracks of the couch, where the real reality lyes for me to continue my life as some kind of moldable awareness in the salvia world surrounded by a ridiculously familiar society of Gnomes creating SOMETHING with a giant DR.SUESS like machine.

As soon as i realize I am me, for some reason i have this urge to try and explain what I have just encountered, and am still so baffled by what just happened, every single time. So this is my model of the Gnome world so far. Does any one else have a similar experience or have been to the Gnome machine? Or have seen the gnomes? Or maybe just the Machine? If you have felt like a conveyor belt, or a zipper, or a ferris wheel, even. I have had trips where I have only felt like a conveyor belt or only felt like a zipper, without fully getting pulled into the gnome world, but if I smoke enough salvia, that feeling of tumbling or being pulled and stretched or broken down is usually just my tool of entering this world and like clockwork I’m in full blown gnome land. Anyways. Salvia is fucked and this gnome world actually exists, and no one wants to talk about it. And I’m not sure I want to go back and figure it out myself. Its starting to get very tiring. Keep a look out for the Gnomes. They have pointy hats and can take the shape of inanimate objects.

Love
Kevin

Wild stuff, man. I remember my brother talking about a conveyor belt when he did it.

I've met a gnome once on DMT. He was a tribal-negro-pygmy gnome. I only met a gnome once out of 15 or so DMT trips. I also have one salvia breakthrough under my belt, but I was sucked into a twilight realm of shadows where three aristocratic human-looking silhouettes awaited me with mild surprise. They communicated to me that I wasn't ready to be there yet, and then one of them walked over to me and used his foot to push me back through the tunnel I had been squeezed through.

So gnomes aren't the only beings (or only forms that these beings can take) within breakthrough experiences of salvia and DMT. However, gnomes are prevalent enough that we can safety discount the theory that we've been conditioned to see gnomes from the literature. There is something more fundamental about these little people to these experiences. Jung's archetypes suggest themselves as a possible candidate. The mystery remains though - why gnomes? It just doesn't make any sense.

As an interesting aside - celtic and norse mythology include the archtype of the elf or little person. One of my DMT trips (this one beside a stream) involved a magical beautiful woman with sunglasses who playfully stole a woman's baby out of its cradle. I later learned that fairies were supposed to take the form of beautiful women, and that they live in forests and near streams, and that they steal babies. I'm not saying these entities are real, but the uncanny prevalence of these very specific types within the experience is enough to stand your hair on end.

Well of course the entities are real, in fact everything we experience is real in some sense.

I personally have seen elves and it was obvious to me that there job was to build/maintain physical reality. I got the sense that they were working for for someone else though, they were not the designers of reality just the constructors.

My friend turned into a hotdog looking pickle like creature with a hat that guided me through what felt like a patchwork of gears grinding me through different dimensions. That stuff is wierd, if it didn't taste so bad to smoke I would have explored more.

Thats dope that you got to actually meet one. Did it feel like you were meeting for the first time? or did you feel like you knew this gnome for a long time?

In my experience with salvia there are hundreds of gnomes and its hard to explain but the feeling i get is like as if i were famous and a showed up, they know about me and everything about me, but i don't know them.

Interesting that you feel someone else in charge. I haven't noticed that yet, but ill keep an eye out next time i go in. I only say gnomes instead of elves because in this world they have pointy hats as opposed to flat caps like the ones i've experienced on DMT. I'ts like a different race or something. So trippy.

Are gnomes and fairys modeled after the visuals of these experiences? Or what? Its like what came first the chicken or the egg? If we came up with gnomes and now im hallucinating gnomes it would only make sense if i was the only one. but its thousands, its a major chunk of the percentage that sees the same entities that we see. It just would honestly make more sense if these ancient re occuring entities and symbols we keep seeing have came from the experiences first. and we started drawing them and telling tales passed down by generations of taking psychedelic drugs. and that would mean these fucking things could be real entities in a different dimension.

It was like this main pickle guy who was like a conductor through the dimension wheels. This happened about a decade ago, but it left an impression. The pickle/hot dog thing made the goofiest faces and costume changes as we were spinning through. It was very super futuristic kool aid man kind of vibe. Very odd, I feel like so much happened I can't remember the whole journey.

I'm very intrigued by salvia lately. I get the impression it's a bit more risky to do alone than DMT, as salvia does not seem to have the same immobilizing effect on the body. Is this true for you guys on your gnome journeys (which I'm assuming are fairly high doses)?

I've had a very similar experience with DMT.

From the few times I smoked the stuff almost 10 years go, I experienced some similar things as what you described....feelings of being on or a conveyor belt, zippers or a zipper up or down sensation, rolling sensations/being on a ferris wheel type machine, feeling like one is being stretched....all very common themes/reports from salvia.

Your description sounds reminiscent of lots of other peoples experiences with salvia, there's lots of similar themes for sure.

This artist does art based on/depicting salvia, and looks pretty similar to some of what you're describing....

First time I saw that dude's work I instantly knew it was depicting a salvia trip even though the place I saw it had no reference to or mention of salvia, and it's done pretty accurately...This fella captures the whole ordeal and common themes of what salvia can catalyze into an image so damn well IMO, quite a feat considering how bizarre, atypical and how difficult the experience is to convey.

Yes that's salvia droids work.

I tried to link the conductor of consciousness picture (the first one)  but I guess it didn't work?

Anyway I agree his art work is spot on to a salvia trip.
