Mind of looks to me like all the metal didn't get out of the jar and you have rust. Should be fine. See what everyone else thinks.

could be a bacterial contam. The bottom of the jar tends to hold more moisture than the top part. Too much moisture especially in BRF jars could lead to bacterial contamination. Of course it also looks like rust but i wonder how it travels down to the bottom without leaving marks on other parts of the substrate.

it is compleatly isolated i dont see the mycelium reacting as if it was a contamination and my jars have been upside down sense 50 percent colonasation so moister should have been at the bottom.

Drill lid while on jar add brf mix. OP why the fudge have you turned the jars upside down? what was the point of the dry verm now its all mixed up sitting on the lid and all the moisture is soaking nicely into it

Yea, if you drill the holes while the lids are on the jars, it's already in the bottom.

Yeah not everyone thinks things through I guess. I mean I'd at least rinse my jars before adding the brf.

so when using this type of jar witch are the tall ones in my expirence the bottom of the jar colonizes much faster when fliped in the middle of colonization its also in a semi steril area or at lease extreamly clean 0 air flow container

Can and will leave metal shards in jars if lids were on jars at the time. Flipping jars is stupid for the reason I gave, 0 air flow as you say relates to 0 GE, guess what contams love?

No guy the jars have plenty of air exchange in the large bin which is been disinfected the bin itself has been sealed and the container has a slight curvicher which creates space for the holes on the bottom of the jar to breath while upside down

Follow the TEK what are you putting then in a sealed bin for, which is SEALED meaning no air flow for gas exchange. The dry verm layer is all that's needed and works great look at my SIG it was grown following the TEK. How many bin jars do you see? None because its not a good idea. Jars go on a shelf with ambient light right way up, and are left alone till full colonisation.

your growth has stalled looks like. It looks to me like bacteria may have won the battle. This is one of the reasons it's typically recommended to try and use 1/2pt. widemouth jars. You need those holes in the jars exposed, so the myc can respirate (gas exchange).
They could have stalled from being too compacted, too wet, improperly sterilized, too much spore solution, etc. Put your jars on the shelf, that's the perfect spot for them. The less they move around the better--you want the dry verm layer to stay intact for as long as possible.
Are you inoculating in a still air box? Using .5cc or so per jar? Use just a drop of solution per hole, if you can. Too many spores can increase your chances that the contamination will be overwhelming.
Cakes grow despite contamination, so try to prevent as much of it as possible. The fewer chances you take, the better off you'll be.

Im still betting its mycelium piss we'll see what happens. they sure as hell didnt stall there just became 3 weeks old everything was flame sterilized jars boiled 90 min. And there is no visable reaction from the mycelium surounding the spots any contam would have resulted in mycelium producing some antibacterial compound which would be visable

you call that brown "no visable reaction"?

Why do you ask questions if you're going to deny the answer? Spores aren't sterile. Is your semen sterile? So why do you assume the spores would be? Flame sterilizing, 'boiling' your substrate jars, etc. are just measures to minimize your contamination. Cakes fruit despite being contaminated; it's how they work. Your job is to try and minimize your risks.
That brown is your 'myc piss'. Unless you're growing stones, or you're 100% sure it's rust, that's a sign of a problem.

The reason why i pit my stuff in sealed bin is simple i have kids running around and carpet floors and sometimes i have to move them around and that makes thing easier

Why not just put them on a shelf where they get ambient light and sufficient GE with no stale air whilest being out of the way of little hands and still being easy to check on. All I was saying albeit a little harshly is yes it has worked and yes you got good results but it really is a game of chance. So maximizing you success chance by giving your stuff the best conditions that are recognized by today's standards can only be a good thing. I'm not here trying to shit on your methods I'm just offering you better ones that are also easier. Peace x

Thanks for all the advice you are right guys i guess we'll find out in a week or so when i give them a smell test at birth i have three control jars one of which has one small spot at the bottom of the jar also leads me to believe the rust is the culprit.lesson of the day clean jars thoroughly before inserting substrate ill keep you guys up to date to see what happens still input is always appreciated and integral part of this community shroom on my brother's.....viva fungi
