Blue bruising on cakes.

The solution to this may be very simple, maybe I'm not using the right search words, but..
What's going on here and what's a good solution to combatting it? Should I add more verm to the outside to prevent this from happening? It's happened to my first two batches, so I added verm to the outside of Batch 1 to limited success, but decided to ask for advice before trying anything to Batch 2, which are some of the cakes pictured.
I read a few threads with similar problems and appearance, but most of the responses of those said low humidity/drying out is the problem, and both of my tubs are staying pretty comfortably in the 95% H, 68-78° F range. Any general advice on the appearance of the cakes would of course be appreciated as well. Thanks in advance, and hello!

IMO it looks more like a contam than bruising. May be the light effect or something but it does not look good.

So it could actually be too dry, I wonder what I'm doing wrong then.. They get misted twice to four times a day. And the hair was removed, must've come from the beard
I had an old humidometer laying around so I'm using that, but I also wanted to keep an eye on temperature changes as we move towards winter to see what effect it would have on the fruits.
Do you think re-dunking and re-casing could help at all?

Don't put another casing layer on at this point, you'd be asking for trouble.

They smell like mushrooms, nothing pungent or acrid that would make me think there's a contam, but that doesn't at all mean that's not the case.
The perlite was surprisingly dry, though, so I resoaked it and gave it all a good stir to redistribute the moisture. I'll wait a few days and see what happens. Thanks for the help so far!

Sadly, I'd be willing to put money down that those cakes will be gonezo in less than 3-4 days. It'd be pretty amazing if thats just dry bruising. Also likely you wouldn't smell the moldy contam ( certain kinds of bacterial contams are easy to smell) until it's absolutely overtaken the cake and begun sporation. But just by looking at the pin and the grey/green color...outlook ain't good Hope it'll work out man

That grey blob looks contaminated to me too. That cake is also very dry. It has no glistening at all. Also on top of that, that bruising is definitely not just because it's dry, it honestly looks like it's contaminated, based off how it's climbing the fruit stalks, as well as the darkness and the thickness of it.. that shit is very unhealthy. I hope you dunk and roll, and keep them glistening with moisture next time you do this.

Alright, I guess all I can do at this point is wait.
As for the dryness, I've had a fan running on a timer to provide FAE but I think I overkilled and dried the cakes and perlite out... lesson learned, I'll keep it simple next round and just fan with the lid. Thanks again guys, this is a learning process.

You don't need a fan that will definitely dry it out very quick. Just fan with the lid for like 3 seconds no longer A correctly built SGFC will provide more than enough fae that's why its used
