DEA kratom commentary! Get ready!

Just saw this link on reddit, it goes to the 100-200 comments already sent and posted online: https://www.regulations.gov/document?D=DEA-2016-0015-0078
So far it seems many uninformed people are posting BS, we could use more intelligent people posting helpful stuff. DO NOT COMMENT YET.
The AKA should release their official strategy for the comments soon and is asking everyone hold off until they decide the best way to go about it.
I will update this thread with it when they post it, for now please keep it in mind and be ready to comment!

It has been getting better but there were a lot of BS shill comments at the start.
Also like I said the AKA is asking everyone wait to comment until they release their strategy in the next 24 hours or so.
Just wanted to get people thinking about it, here is a message from Susan Ash of the AKA:
Quote:
Quote from Susan Ash :
We are soon going to have a new landing page where you can submit comments to the DEA. It will be replete with guidance from us on talking points, etc. We, as consumers, do have more flexibility about what we can say than folks in the industry, but we still have to be very careful with our language.
It's going to be critically important that as many people as humanly possible, AKA members especially, go through this site first so that we can quantify the number of comments we help generate. This is to make absolutely certain that every single comment counts! We got nearly 10,000 people to participate in that UofF survey in a very short amount of time, and now we need tens of thousand to comment on the DEA proposal. So please, wait to submit comments through our site so we can pull off something truly amazing AGAIN! Keep staying tuned!

I honestly wasn't worried about them banning but I felt bad for people that needed it because to use kratom you litterally have to take down gulps of powdered water
with the new painkillers coming out that act on the same areas of kratom making them less addicting I feel that kratom really isn't neccesary anymore, I do feel however that if people want to cultivate the kratom plant than they should be able too but to sell it as a substitute now isn't really worth it with the new painkillers coming out (that were probably derived from this exotic plant...)

You don't get it. People don't want to rely on Big Pharma. Natural drugs are appealing because they are, well, natural. Kratom has been used for a loooong time. These new drugs aren't well documented and could pose hazardous long-term.

I dont use it, but give me any natural plant over pharma any day
All just for profits i suspect kratom reduces it hence the ban lol!

That is horrible logic... People from veterans to single mothers benefit enough from kratom they manage to get it down daily, clearly it isn't that bad.
Toss n Washing for me is easier and quicker then drinking a cup of black coffee, and much more healthy and effective to boot...

Once again that is horrible logic Kratom has been used for centuries if not thousands of years, these new pain killers may have some of the same benefits but it will be years before they have anything even remotely as effective and even then it will no doubt come with a new and greater set of risks and drawbacks like most pharmaceuticals...
Also consider this, a kilo of kratom can be bought for 75$ or cheaper, using 3g a day that is over 300 days of daily use for 75$ or less...
Now compare that to the price of many pills, which often go up over time once the corporations have a dependent market that will be forced to pay whatever.

Kratom is also unique in the way that people are often able to get relief off the same dose for a very long time. Kratom tends to self regulate. If you take 10 grams of kratom, it might not feel any stronger than 3 grams.
We can't keep criminalizing everyday behavior, but I know I am preaching to the choir

Some Kratom are sold in capsules I think? Or one can capsulize them? I wonder why I haven't seen Kratom "standardized" to contain more alkaloids per pill? A company should standardize this product like they do with Kava. I bet a standardized pill version of Kratom would get scrutinized as the new "oxycontin"! LOL.

I believe that kratom's chemicals have been highly-refined, even synthesized, and restrictions would tend to reinforce big pharma.
I believe that enforcers would be impartial, completely amoral, except for the subsidies.
If the neocons and their lookalikes leave office, the same money would be spent on different policies.
So, the deeply held, political views of greedy, violent people can be changed with the stroke of a pen.

A lot of vendors have standardized extracts. All Natural Artisan had a dank standardized red vein extract, but I do not see it there right now. After the original DEA intent letter, the kratom trade has been wierd. A lot of new pop up vendors, and the many of the good vendors are out of stock.

It was all mostly sold off at under market value within a few weeks. There is now a much lower supply and a much higher demand.

Last I checked some places still had kilos under 100$ but that was days ago if not over a week.

I wanted family members, with legitimate prescriptions, not to go into shock, from withdrawals, at the end of every month.
I am lucky to be healthy and strong.
But, a surprising number of people are sick or damaged.
In nature, or a meritocracy, I don't think most of us would be resilient.

Look around on reddit and some other sites and you may be able to find a decent deal from a reliable vendor.
Lots of rip offs/ price hikes sense the ban was announced sadly. Look around and you might catch a reliable vendors re stock, goodluck

Saw an add on the ol Facebook today that had a vendor trying like hell to sell his super, awesome, potent, high in alkaloid-content Kratom. Kilos for the reelow. But man he was putting himself out there like a condom on the end of a sideways flag pole.
Im happy with my current go to. I just wonder how many of these extremely cheap advertisers are running a scam.
