Your bathroom etiquette

I was watching shameless last night and the main characters bf walked in and started to drop a deuce while she was in the shower. My gf and I are very comfortable around each other but we both don't do that. I know that there are couples who are completely comfortable with that, I'm just not one of them. How many people think that doing that is ok? Just to be clear, you are not wrong if you do. I'm not hating, just curious.

At first I read that as taking a deuce in the shower while they were both in there together.
No i definitely don't shit with her in the room. I don't shit in the shower either. We really don't pee in the same room either.

I really hope no one shits in the shower haha. I don't use the bathroom in front of her either. There are doors on bathroom stalls and bathrooms for a reason. But, I don't want to come of sounding like people who do are incorrect. A perspective from a female would be really interesting.

The lady and I often enjoy a nice, intimate defecation session together

We usually hold hands while we go. Although we didn't last time because she was upset with me for leaving my dirty laundry on the floor.

That's a funny pic seriously. I bet that toilet is expensive. All that the picture needs is a fireplace, big screen tv, and I noticed I don't see any tp close by. I support your "intimate defecation sessions together". I'm laughing my ass off.

The only downside is that it's kinda awkward when you're done and you're both wiping.
Plus the smell, too.

I have perfect bathroom etiquette.
I go in, I shake my bathroom attendant's hand, greet him politely, I rearrange the bow tie on his tux if needed. Then I proceed to give him the instructions on today's bowel movement. From there, The maid unbuttons my pants and unzip the zipper. I thank her cordially and politely dismiss her.
From there I do courtesy flushes whenever I have to pass gas. I do my business. Then I subtly signal the attendant when I done so her can bring so toilet paper. I gently bow forward so he can wipe me clean. The maid comes back to button my pants. Then I thank everybody, I ask how their kids are doing, I give them hefty tip and a walk away.
Like a gentleman.

I would imagine hahaha. At least you show emotional support by holding hands. Just make sure you don't squeeze her hand too tight during the uncomfortable moments of defecation. So random hahaha.

Hopefully you wash your hands wi soap before you go digging in your wallet to hand out that tip. Apparently some currency has copious amounts of cocaine and drug residue on them. You don't want to add shit in the mix. Or do you haha?

My gf and I always shower together, if she got in the shower first and I had to poop, I wouldn't hesitate to use the toilet.

We don't go out of the way to shit together but if need be we'll do it if we can't hold it. Not for etiquette reasons, just the smells. We don't watch eachother wipe though, that's sacred and private. Actually, that's a lie. I'll wipe in front of him after peeing but I suppose that's different. Edit:cant spell

nah man. My gf and I see ourselves as one, a unit. You wouldn't be grossed out if you pooped so why be if your other half does.

Fuzzy-peach: The wipe is very sacred and private. With that sort of a mentality I feel like the whole process should be considered the same. But it is all preference and what you are comfortable with and that ain't wrong. I've walked by the bathroom and peeked in on my girl wiping(not knowing she was) that's not a big deal.
The mycologist: It's about the noise and sometimes smell for me 100%. I'm not always a fan of my own brand, I sure as hell don't want to smell others no matter who it is. It's like a privacy thing for me at least.
Banana.man: I bet you hate public toilets. I know people who share that same sort of anxiety or whatever you wanna call it. Maybe headphones whilst taking the Browns to the super bowl would help relieve you of your stress haha.

I'm sitting here briefly wondering if I would have a different opinion if I lived in a house with only one bathroom. That would suck.

Why would that suck?
My appartment has one bathroom (with a shower and sink) and one toilet

I guess because I appreciate my privacy. Plus you know sometimes a man needs his morning dump. When it coincides with my gf getting ready, it's inconvenient. That's a sacred ritual just like the wake and bake.
