Busting Myths or Fluke? (PF Tek and storage)

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like I've busted a few myths in the past two grows (PF Tek in PMP), or at least tamed them. Anecdotal, of course, but could it be that we're all a little overcautious on a few things? All of the following are due to carelessness, laziness, or procrastination, not care or innovation by any stretch of the imagination. Most of the "meh" attitude towards my current grow came from my belief that the very old spore syringes I had weren't going to be viable anyway.
1. Last year, my significant other and I consumed dried Hawaiian that was simply in a vacuum sealed bag at room temperature for over two years, and which had somehow managed to reabsorb moisture, so they were a bit soft and spongy. It seemed to have lost no potency at all. Mind blowing. This sounds like the least ideal way to store them, and quite a long storage time, yet no noticeable potency loss at all. They weren't even kept away from light. And for the first time, my significant other managed to keep them down.
2. Only 36 days ago, I inoculated BRF jars with B+, Ecuador, and Amazonian spores. The syringes were over two years old and stored at room temperature. Although one B+ syringe was contaminated and those jars were lost, the remaining cakes were 100% colonized in 9 days and the first flush is currently at the veil-breaking harvest stage – the fastest I've personally gone from spores to harvest.
3. Since I really don't need much of a harvest (I only dose every couple of years to help w/ social anxiety), I just didn't feel like doing a dunk and roll for first flush on this grow, so I double-ended them (just using wet handfuls of verm – not "carefully dripping water" onto them), and I currently have the biggest, healthiest first flush I've ever grown.
4. I got tired of waiting for pinning to start in the jars, and decided to just birth all but three of them (one of each strain) into the terrarium. As stated above, this has been my largest, fastest flush ever. Meanwhile, the three jars that I didn't birth (with hopes of spawning into bulk later) still haven't begun to produce pins.
So, I'm currently pondering if it's "in spite of" or "due to" lax planning, laziness, negligence, and blatant impatience that I've not only saved effort and lots of time, but have also been rewarded with an incredibly healthy flush.
Has anybody else thrown caution to the wind and been surprised by the results? Or are my "results not typical"?

Few things in this hobby are all or nothing. It's a game of odds. You had the equivalent of a good night at the casino, are you going to quit your job now to become a professional gambler?
The other thing is that people are often easily impressed. We need some pics of some of these results like the undunked flush before you can convince anyone. Also because you are using ms your results could be due to some exceptional genetics and the next time your half assing total shits the bed.

There was a lot of debate about growing in a closet yesterday and and you seem to hit a good point. A friend of mine gave me 3 jars because he waited and thought they went bad. I stuck them in a box and forgot bout them and when I came across them again they were half colonized and healthy. Then came a real fucked up self learning project and some how through some very slight research and much more beginners lyck I had bountiful results and continued with my own prints. Looking back on what I've learned in the past few months I can understand y people would be skeptical cause in my opinion those 3 cakes should never have produced but nature will sometimes find a way

Bro it's no sweat man. Everyone has their opinion and their own ways of expressing it some more adult than others. At least yyour respectful about your approach. As to the topic as well...bro success from luck and chance isn't at all is not at all to be expected. In any situation this topic is referring to you should expect to fail. I foiled many attempts with the same tek with those 3 always having issues I had to address cause I wasn't doing it right. Success was adequate but nothing like once I found let's grow mushrooms on YouTube
