booze withdrawal
    #23735984 - 10/14/16 03:16 AM (7 years, 3 months ago)

So I had a bad night a few nights ago and decided its time to stop drinking but ive been moderate to extremely heavy for 10 years. Last few months ive been doing about 750ml of whiskey a day.

I have no insurance but I'm feeling really nasty. Not mind but body.
I get what feels like a panic attack onset but it fizzlez out.

I think my b12 is fucked because I have like every symptom of anemia(b12 helps to make red blood cells)

I'd love to go to a hospital just for piece of mind and continue to detox by limiting whiskey to 2-3 shots ...maybe I should consume more to curve withdrawl but I'm sick of booze to no end.

Thanks for reading my crap

Oops should be in well being forum??

i might be weening to drastically.

coincidentally I've been cultivating the mush
and i tripped for the first time in 10 years
about a week ago and i had a voice(?) yelling
at me to knock off the booze. i proceeded to shake
and throw up tons of bile for a few hours. that
was tuesday. wesnesday i was ok. but after about 1hr
of shitty sleep i barfed up more junk. at least my
dinner stayed down.

its nice to ramble on the shroomery. it takes my mind off
how shitty i feel and how angry i am at myself for doing this.

You should be allright in my opinion with that much for just a few months.

Do you drink all the time or are there times during the day you are relatively sober?

nope.. all day. but ive been a all day drinking for a long time.

i like how most resources classify 'booze bag' as 2-3 drinks a day multiple times
a week.

ive been out of work from a injury(go workers comp) so i basically wake up
around noon. drink till midnight. 750ml is common.

Hmm.  I can put away a fifth in a day pretty easy as of late, but I think what saves me is that I am always sober for work so at least 40 or 50 hours every week I am not drunk.

Maybe try to stop drinking for part of the day if you can't cut it out entirely.  Do some exercise if you can and make sure you are eating.  For me sometimes I get home from work and I am just too tired to drink, which are the only nights I stay somewhat sober.

I wouldn't recommend Kava for a ten year alcoholic.

His liver is already fried and Kava is liver toxic.

Valerian root would be my recommendation for WD and get some milk thistle in you.

Milk thistle is good stuff,  i need to get some more.  Supplements and good diet will help.  It will be a process.

Like I said on the other thread...that quantity of booze for that long is a recipe for grand mal seisures. If you have the benzos, you should at least take a half a bar or a valium. This is serious stuff mush, my business partner almost recently died from this...he wound up strapped down to a gurney for 3 days.

Alcoholic withdrawals (at this level) should be left to professionals who can monitor your vitals while also putting you on a IV to keep fluids in you...If not...make sure you drink plenty of water or orange juice and take a benzo asap...are you shaking badly?

no shakes minus slight tremor ive always had clamy hands.
surprisingly not much of a headache. at the moment i feel
more drained and tired than anything else. i always drink tons of water. i have
and thing for drinking fluids(no dick jokes please) i feel restless and my upper
gut is killing me from barfing so much,

i dig your concern. i got xanax on the way, no valium but ill keep if i get shaky/weirded out. Im not doing cold turkey. fuck that. 2-3 shots every 24 hrs.

id go to a doctor but im in settlement limbo at the moment so i have no coverage.

it seems weed, tons of water, and grilled lamb settled nicely in my tum

Get some milk thistle. It will help a lot.

Benadryl melatonin and chamomile for sleep.

Benadryl will help the shakes if you get them. Definitely keep weening but try to lengthen the time frame an hour or so each time.

I used klonopins to get off booze, and didn't ween from the booze.  I was getting blacked out pretty much every single day.  It's a shitty place to be internally and spiritually, but in a couple of weeks you'll be right.

Just don't turn it into a benzo addiction like I did.  Klonopin are harder to kick than booze imo

What sucks is when you get past the shakes and go into a full blown relapse on the benzos. That's when you are risking your life.

It's a lot harder to do it without a doctor, but it's a lot easier to get addicted to benzos with one.

Please be careful man. Ive never experienced alcohol withdrawals, but drinking that much for a decade isnt anything to fuck around with. There arent any free/low cost medical services in your area?

def take xanax if you can't handle it.  i'd take it for sleep too.

try ketamine.  i successfully have been off of alcohol because of ketamine, it actually helps alcoholics.

Kratom also seems like a good option, I have read many stories of alcoholics using it to stop drinking successfully. Stay safe OP!
