they could just be pre-flowers, which is completely normal, even while still in vegetative state. they shouldn't start flowering for real until they get a full 12 hours of dark.

In that case they have another 6 months worth of growing to do

That's what I have been thinking Is there any way to 'prune' them without damaging them? Or maybe tieing the branches down...

Most def. tie the branches down With the sativa the tops will shade the lower material,by tying the taller branches down you will dramatically increase yield.

Just an update, they are definitely NOT budding

They're already touching the top of the greenhouse and there's still 5 months until winter. Getting pretty excited
Looking at those pictures, roughly what size yeild should I expect?

You could start making clones too... If you want a bigger harvest cut the top off or tie it down really low to spread the plant auxins which will make bigger lower colas. Nice looking plants make sure you stake those up

I did end up buying some cloning gel and making 2 clones, one took off nicely but the other didn't

I ended up harvesting a little earlier than I wanted to due to a scale insect infestation. I got roughly 20 ounces dry
(~2 oz / bag)
Ended up with ~15 ounces of bud after most of the leaves were pruned off.
Ive realized that i would be the worst drug dealer as I cant help giving it away or trading for stupid things, such as 2 orange crayons for an ounce. A little giggle is worth more than profit IMO
As for my clone is it doing very nicely. It appears to have long white tentacles growing out of it, cant wait til its ready!

When I made this clone the 'mother' plant was already in the flowering stage. I'm just wondering if there would be any harm in tipping it now or should I just leave it?
Cheers.

I'd leave it be to flower unless you plan to over Winter the plant for next Spring.
Up to you really. It's your plant.

Seeing as its just coming into winter i plan to let it flower, however I wouldn't mind it being a bit bushier which is why I was considering tipping it. Would tipping it this late into flowing do it any harm?
Im hoping it ends up looking like a cactus of bud

Tying it down would be the better and less stressful method. This will expose the lateral buds to the light, making them puuump!
You cut during the vegetative growth cycle, not as it's coming into flowering.
Winter isn't for another 2 months man. It's Autumn still.

Ill have a go at tieing it down, any tips?
Just to be picky, winter starts in June (Australia), which is less than 4 weeks away
