Found a patch of what I believe are stuntziis. My first hunt ever.

Hello all. I went hunting for the first time today. I think I found a great patch of just starting to fruit stunziis. Can anyone confirm? Also found sensual muscaria but I'm very knowledgeable about those. Thanks for all your help. I did use mushroom John to identify visually on his page. Just wanted to be that last. 05% sure.

I can't load the habitat shot, but from the pic of the harvest I'd say that they're not Psilocybin mushrooms of any kind.

After seeing your gallery, I'm not so sure of the answer I gave you. Is there any way you can get some in-focus closeups?

They look like some kind of a Gymnopus. What made you believe they are stuntzii? Do you have a link to the mushroom john page you used as a reference?

Here is the link. I think they are stunziis for 1., found them under alder trees in the Pnw. Seattle area. 2, not all but most had the ruffling edges but to remove worms. I soaked in salt water for 20 minutes. 3. They fit the description, location and pictures from the a UW mycologist.

Here are more pics. One I know what they are. Amanita muscsria and two panthers.

Do if you look, someone posted 4 hotsgoes . Psilocyben avenii? These have the same stem bottom as the picture here. Same or very close colors. Thoughts? I'll take pics tomorrow. Have them drying in a bin in the garage with a desiccant.

Like people already said, these are probably a Gymnopus sp.
Look for a separable gelatinous pellicle, annulus, dark purplish spore print and blue bruising.
And, you should never soak mushrooms in water - they'll start rotting. Drying is a better way to chase those maggots.

Well the thought and what I read from several mushroom sites suggested soaking since it's sea salt and natural kills something besides worms. I watched them suicide on my screens with my nitas muscaria. The suggestion for soaking was the water would be inoculated and spreading it in the yard, mulch or trees should have them reproduce. They are edible though? And psychoactive yes?

After looking at the gymnopus so. Those don't look anything like what I was picking this afternoon. These are too red or orange. The ones I found were yellow to golden brown, some flattened out, others ruffled and several had the center tip. The what's it called capumated? or something

These don't look like stunzii to me. I would need to see clearer pics to be certain. Dont see the bluing veil at all. I would not eat those. Did you take a spore print?

100% not stuntzii, as others have said you have a Gymnopus species. There are a lot of Gymnopus species and telling them apart is not always easy, but you might have something like G. dryophilus.

Hmmm yes taking a spore print. But it's so rainy here this week. Drying anything is not easy. Took some more pics. Closer up and more steady... I how. Thank you for all your help. After looking at all gymno none matched scar I picked in the wild. The images on here and all over Google didn't match. They grew on alder branches, leaves all varieties that were present at the site. these were found in woodinville, wa. mostly I had to remove plant debris as well as decaying logs to find them. I feel in a few days they'll be bigger and more easily identified. Additionally, looking at the spore print from this morning. They appear dark brown to blueish dark indigo but not really people. When a better is available I'll post as well. Thanks again all. Love peace and further acceptance of our global connectiveness.

Definitely not Psilocybes. You should get back out there today! Good luck!
