Mycelium not dense enough?

Hello everyone,
I'm new to mycology and working on my 1st grow project.
Everything has been going well so far. I have completely colonized 5 pint jars. (I know I used the wrong jars, but I realized once it was too late).
They have been fully colonized for about a week now, so I was thinking to birth them. I'm actually getting a few in vitro pins.
My issue is the mycelium itself doesn't look dense enough to me. Compared to the bright white solid looking mycelium I am seeing throughout this forum, on mine I can still see substrate through the mycelium. It's just not a solid opaque white, but more like a stringy white you can somewhat see through.

Any thoughts? I don't want to birth them too early if that is the case..
Very much appreciate any input as I'm brand new to this hobby.

Well they are flipped over so you're just seeing mycelium on the glass.
They really never ever should be flipped unless as a last resort in the case the bottom just won't colonize. You should check by marking with a permanent marker and seeing if growth actually halted. Compaction is a problem in those wrong jars. Unfortunately the noob idea that it's co2 causing the problem is wrong but also why we see new growers flipping jars erroneously.
Follow the "let's grow mushrooms PF tek."

Thanks for your input.
The entire surface is covered. They are 5 weeks into colonization. 1 week past 100% colonization.
I'm saying its not completely opaque.
I just flipped the jars today, after many people said it would speed things up.
I figured at 100% colonization, I would birth them soon anyway and it might be worth a try to thicken up the mycelium.
I guess my question is should I be concerned that I can still somewhat see through the mycelium?

They're fine. If it's been a week birth, dunk, roll. Into the SGFC

Took them out of the jars to dunk, and after rinsing and dunking, the mycelium looks even less dense... almost like bare substrate.
Should I be worried they aren't colonized enough and could get contaminated in the fruiting chamber?

No, they look like that right after a dunk and rinse. They should recover in day or so. I was worried too my first time. I thought I washed all the mycelium off the outside. Instead, I got the grows in my signature out of those cakes after spawning to hpoo and verm.

Your cakes look absolutely fine. Keep going, and update the thread.
Your first grow is a learning experience anyway, and you will learn something from this no matter how it goes down. YOUR personal learning journey is what will give you the experience to be confident in future grows, and guess what, you're on that journey. Congrats! Fruit these bitches into a shotgun, and give them lots of misting and fanning love.
