My Micropore vs Polyfil Results

So a while ago I came across the thread by Pastywhyte which was about using micropore.
I give this person all the kudos, I'm just backing it up.
After reading their thread I was a little skeptical because of the "why fix it if it isn't broke" mentality. Then I realized that I love everything about this hobby ... except for picking polyfil off of my fruits. I did a bit of searching on here and couldn't find much on this. I found a lot of people questioning if it would work but not much really sharing results.
I used the same monotubs I always do. 66qt Sterlite tubs... your typical 6 hole setup - two on each long side and one higher on each short side. My holes are one and three quarters of an inch because I've a great socket that I just toss in front of a torch and then use to punch the holes. They work perfectly with polyfil.
I started my next round of tubs but instead of stuffing the poly once it was time to put them into fruiting I simply put on some micropore. Two layers on the bottom holes, one layer on the top holes. Each layer consisted of two strips of micropore overlapping one quarter of an inch.
My results: Exactly as with polyfil. High RH is maintained but as with poly I can clearly see FAE has been occurring nicely and the fruits are exactly as with polyfil.
I look forward to actually fully enjoying my next harvest instead of "wtf man come on wtf"-ing with the polyfil cocooned around 3-6 mushrooms at each hole.
So thank you Pastywhyte and to anyone afraid to mix it up - give it a shot.

I've been a polyfill hater for so long, and then the latest easy tek. Thanks PW. The Polyfill haters will no longer suffer from polyfill tea. We aren't stuffed animals.

I agree. I feel like I was possibly one of the first to try this when pasty posted the Tek. Had great results. I sucked with polyfil. Tubs look a lot prettier with micropore too IMO. I'll never use poly again.

Yep. Worked fantastic. Had to pull the bottom first layer of the bottom holes off towards the end per pastys recommendation. But my holes were bigger than standard. I had three rows of micropore per hole vs two.
It takes some tweaking. But once you know your hole size and how much tape, it doesn't change.

I agree, also nice when you have a few stacks of tubs, I've definitely knocked poly loose before moving a tub.
