Don't need anything in return mate, if you need help feel free to pm me and i can point out locations i think would be good for you via satellite imaging and soil acidity, this is how i did it originally and i've rarely came home empty handed, we're actually getting a bit more info on this now since people are taking interest in the soil properties there is another thread with some good links related to finding the right and most prolific soils.

Hello all, glad to see people are getting some decent pickings. I've only been up once so far this season and have left it later than I normally would.
I reckon the weekend of 1st and 2nd October would have been perfect picking conditions down here as the temps had dropped and we'd had a bit of rain, unfortunately I was tied up so couldn't get up to my usual spots to check. That said, I went for a great walk and explored the hills the weekend just gone and picked about 25-30, not by biggest haul but that's plenty for me and I've still got some previous pickings sealed and stored.
I came across quite a few which were dried up / rotten so had obviously been out for a while, and others which had just sprouted up and were still pins with closed veils really, so I left them to prosper and spread their spores.

Thank you from an oldie, this thread has been giving me hope on a good season, I did go out last weekend near Northampton but sadly dry boots summed the day up, i'll pop out in the next few days to check again and i'll report any sightings.

To chime in - for anyone in the SE, the season seems to have begun. Found a fair few last week; so now, having had some more rain alongside consistently low temps, it should really be getting into swing. Good luck y'all

So does the soil need to be more acidic or more alkaline, I would be interested to use this method to find a more local spot to my home, as currently having to drive a good 10 - 15 miles. There must be some closer places, been out looking but as weather has been so dry it's difficult to say

Hey again one and all, I live in an area with very alkaline soil, chalk based... do liberties prefer acidic soils or is that not a huge factor.. a 30 mins drive the soil becomes very acidic and there are many species of fungi! Bless

acidic soils are what you want, acidic and peat soils

funny i dreamt about them too, mine was fucked tho, i dreamt i got shafted with a bunch of non existent libs, they planted them in my house, i got off out the back door came back and there was a setup to catch me, all of it is related to them always tryna take peoples freedom away for doin nothing wrong cept try and sort their own heads out or have a bit of fun with friends
i reckon these drug laws are making the population anxious and sick everyone i speak to nearly who does drugs has anxiety n scared of having no freedom people say it's related to the drugs but it's not it's related to the consequences, just cause of what they choose to put in their own bodies yet they keep alcohol legal killing 9000 a year and tobacco killing 90,000 a year on average in this country alone
just keep doing what you do people don't let them win it's your body and your choice they don't own you
seems things are picking up now!! lots of finds lately on here and other sites n groups, late one but seems like it's making up for it
