White spotting on San Pedros?
    #23731584 - 10/12/16 03:19 PM (7 years, 3 months ago)

Hey guys, yesterday I gave my Pedros a little trickle of water and today they've got some white/bright green spots speckled all over. It doesn't look like a healthy sign. What does this indicate? Too much water? Too much sun?

The larger round white scars were already there and seem to just be surface cuts that are stabbed over. The brighter greenish spray of speckles is what's just surfaced recently and is what concerns me.

Please let me know what to do about my poor babies. They stay in direct sunlight for six or eight hours every day, and they're potted two per pot. I got them from Home Depot. Are the roots too tight? I assume they need to be reported. The soil they have them potted in is super crappy, lots of wood and sticks, it looks like some generic starter potting soil.

Would it be right to assume that I should repot these individually in large clay pots full of ~40% sand, 30% perlite, 30% well draining soil?

I have seen those on my San Pedro's, I think the darker spots indicate some sort of infection.. I'm not sure on that one tho, that's just my guess. Anyway I still have the same Pedro's and they seem to being well now, no dark spots, so I'm guessing they go away on their own. Maybe u can also scrape off the dark spots, it might help who knows..
