yes it is a great weakness in my character and psychedelics punish me for it every goddamn trip, but I do have a lot of hate at times. Logically I think myself out of it, and I know it stems primarily -maybe entirely- from insecurity and a barely suppressed arrogance and yet it's still a struggle.

Its definitely a present tense thing for me, there are individuals I have a deep sense of hatred for, and there are institutions

this is very true, hating has never made me happy, never made me better, never made me more attractive or enjoyable by any means. I almost see myself as split between a nice and kind and good me, and a twisted fearful insecure shriveled little me that rejects anything different
luckily the good me has been winning out more and more
it's a little scary though cus I see that I'm a lot like my dad in that respect, only in his case the bitter personality often wins out and it makes him miserable and a pain to be around

Hatred is a lasting sense of loathing, there is no implication that this has to have an overarching influence on your day to day affairs.
As far as winning or losing, that has no bearing.
I am content, satisfied and optimistic, happy with my life. This is in stark contrast to many shroomerites who seem to be perpetually tormented for whatever reason. But I know hatred well, and I'm sure there are a few unfortunates who do not. Tack on the fact that I am in a superior / dominant position to those I hate.
This fear of hatred millenials have, it is a flimsy idea wrought from assumptions Its a shame the way people have traded one set of assumptions for another

what is so valuable about your hatred? and you hate your inferiors? what does that say about you?
I from my own life at least, can attest that what I call hatred has never done me any good and is a cancerous emotion to be expunged by reason

Hatred either keeps you away from the object of loathing, or motivates you to overcome it.
That some miserable cunts have crossed me and got the worse of it? That they don't merit forgiveness?
Hatred can consume, if you dwell on it. I can hate someone passively, forget they exist and upon meeting them again have that instantaneous impression, with the benefit of knowing how to deal with them. It is very much a survival instinct.

Loooool, I must say, i think there is nothing to gain from hatred. It's actually a waste of mental energy.
And who are you to assume that the ones you hate are still hate worthy people? That's why you should never burn any bridges, ever. The people you hate can some day be the ones who decide your death. It's always within possibility. So imo, hating is only an expense to yourself.

it definitely does that, but I think the impulse to hate can be rather primitive and while perhaps useful initially, as you say if dwelt on or overindulged is dangerous. I think even the initial impulse implies an ignorance almost, as logically I find it hard to hate anyone or anything when I consider it long enough and from a vantage point of reason. That's not to say forgive child predators or suicide bombers, far from it, just that there is a reason to reject those acts that is unemotional and in my view a step towards addressing many problems is overcoming the pure emotional response and trying to understand what systems or failings created these objects of hate, and from there we are in a better position to fix them, hopefully

You don't have a very wide field of vision, if they may decide your fate one day, that is circumstantial and likely plays into why one would hate them.
As to "who am I to assume", I am me, you don't even know who I am referring to. I reserve the right to feel like a human, fuck off with your convoluted ideals.

I agree with the idea of detachment and reasoning through problems, as I view hatred however, it need not interfere with your emotions. It is as much an opinion of someone as it is an emotional response.
