Listen guys I know most of you aren't into UFC but you should all go to a sports bar on November 12 and watch UFC 205 . It's going to be by far the most stacked and most amazing card In history.
If there has ever been a time to check out UFC this will be it .
Three world title fights in one night and an absolutely stacked card of amazing fighters and fights.
I wish I had some people to talk fighting with here and I can promise it will be exciting as hell.
Just get a friend order a pitcher and watch the fights!
There will never be a better time...
I will take a sick day at work if I have to no way I'm missing this one !
It is an all star cast !
To name a few
Connor the Notorious McGregor vs Eddie the underground king Alvarez Stephen Wonderboy Thompson vs Tyron the chosen one woodley Chris the all American weidman vs Yoel the soldier of God Romero
Michael Johnson vs Khabib Nurgomedov
Also fighting will be meisha tate, Donald cerrone, Thiago Alves, Rashad Evans and Tim Kennedy!

Personally dislike/disgust over idiots who watch UFC. You people lack my respect in the mean time, as you lack yours. I cant even express myself in days without getting into a fight. Reasons like UFC add up to that. I would rather look into Fencing s a sport. People fighting with swords makes for a lot more respectable of a game. Besides, i know some of the people became fighters is UFC. I would enjoy to watch them kick somebodies ass like Bruce Lee. Sorry, not so sorry, People enjoy UFC too much in the wrong ways, Making you all, Fools.
Two people fight on a stage? for what meaning. To be the best? Fools. No meaning, No grace.

Why do you think fans of Martial Arts, a noble endeavour as ancient as humankind itself, are idiots?
Martial arts are a supreme vehicle for human development.
Mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually martial artists cultivate excellence and discipline in all areas of their lives.
For as long as there have been humans we have sought to develop our bodies and refine the skills of unarmed combat.
From the Shaolin monks who mastered Kung fu to the Japanese Samurai who developed Judo, the best and brightest have always seen the value of Martial arts not only for self defence but as a path to enlightenment.
As a former competitor in Judo and Inter-provincial Gold Medalist , I learned at 14 what a profound lifestyle marital arts is.
I would not be nearly as good a man, physically mentally or morally, without the lessons and spiritual development I achieved through the discipline and mentorship I acquired through my Judo career.
The modern UFC represents the most developed martial arts the world has ever seen.
The fighters are models of human discipline, determination, courage, strength of character, heart, spirit and tenacity.
You call me an idiot for loving martial arts and respecting those who have dedicated their lives to mastering them.
You call me an idiot for enhancing my own understanding of Martial arts by watching masters in action.
It is ironic that you call me an idiot yet I have three university degrees and a college certificate , including a masters degree, and received six scholarships including a prestigious full ride national fellowship and authored two theses while maintaining a 4.0 GPA, while your own post insulting my intelligence is incoherently written.

For one, It is a Defence, Not an enlightenment. And for all, Enlightenment is only taboo. It is not "real" Looks like you could really go back into college and learn some more at your "college" abut Martial arts and the meaning of it. I dont know how self defence is enlightening when you are fighting mobs of armies of people and it is usually a "civil" war. Yeah I am going to go sword fight my neighbor today and after words say Hey! that was so enlightening! Lets do it again soon Buddy! NO.
You obviously have lots more to learn. And lots more to see. So go ahead, blow your brains out into the world of UFC.

Yeah well that's just like your opinion, man. Body, mind, and spirit. Some people choose mind, some people choose spirit, some people choose body. We all choose our own paths in life and you for instance seem rather judgmental and kinda condescending in the sense of your perception.

Boxing is a martial art.
Striking is every bit as sublime an art as grappling.
They are both infinitely complex and infinitely subtle.
Calling striking mere brawling simply belies your own lack of understanding.
Striking in MMA Includes not only the sweet science of boxing but also kickboxing, Muay Thai, karate and Tae Kwon Do, just as the grappling aspect includes not only Jujitsu but also Judo, wrestling and Sambo.

The irony of someone espousing bigotry and anger, while lambasting violence.
Fencing

These posts are literal nonsense, and as far as enlightenment being an unreal "taboo", different people have different standards for what that word implies.

Enlightenment is a very real state of consciousness attainable by any and all through yoga and meditation, characterized by inner peace, tranquility, compassion, love, bliss, joy and wisdom.
My three passions in life are yoga, meditation and martial arts, which properly understood are three facets of the same supreme human endeavour of self perfection and self transcendence.

I don't view enlightenment as being a mood, if that's all there is to it, its not worth pursuing

It is not a mood, it is a state of consciousness.
Specifically, the highest or supreme state of consciousness which naturally gives rise to the wisest and most compassionate thoughts and actions and thus- the best possible life.
A society in which enlightenment is fostered and becomes pervasive is a utopia And a world in which such society operates is a paradise.
Enlightenment is liberation from ignorance, transcendence of suffering and awakening from craving, delusion, clinging and desire.
Enlightenment is the ultimate goal of human existence and the highest fulfillment of our purpose in life.

Yeah I don't agree with any of that, except that society would be better off if people were happier.
What you're describing is contentment and maturity in my mind, a precursor to Samadhi, which is a precursor to what I would consider enlightenment.
I only say any of this to point out that there are different views on what "enlightenment" entails.

Well what is your definition of enlightenment?
What I am describing is obviously not merely contentment or maturity as contentment and maturity clearly don't entail the states and achievements I have described.

Who does ?
The UFC?
There are many Jujitsu masters in UFC.
The greatest of them are Demian Maia and Jaque Array.

I'd like to see more jiu-jitsu. They need Eddie Bravo to step into the octagon for a sorcerer submission.
