Hi, 2 trays of rye spawned to coco/verm/coffe, in ratio 1:2-3, were put into fruiting after 8 days of colonization. I thought that it was about time, since it had a few of these thicker looking pieces of mycelium, going up, and it looked to me as primordia staring to form. But as I think of it twice, there are still patches of not completely covered substrate. Is it better to put it into colonization for a next few days orr just leave it be and do its own job? PICS

Looks dry and bacteria. How you pasture the sub since you had coffee in it.

Thanks for all feedback! I will leave it in the fc. As for the pasteurizing, i did it the standard way, over 90 minutes 60-70 celsius. I doubt there is contamination, I can smell only mushrooms

Your substrate seems to dry and detaches from the edges of the tray. How deep is the substrate? Ideally it should be 3-4". From what I can tell from the pictures it looks like the tray is 100% colonized. Let it fruit and monitor the status.

I think they are slightly less deep, about 2,5 inch. Would it be good if I applied a casing at this stage?

Adding a casing layer would force the mycelium to spend energy and therefor moisture which is not given, to colonize the top substrate layer. Please correct me, if I am wrong.
Is there enough FAE? Mycelium loves FAE and humidity - both are major pinning triggers.
