Please Help out a NOOB with IDing mycelial growth

Thanks for your time, and sorry in advance for knowing so little. This is my first time trying to grow mushrooms, I am following the guide from this link: https://www.shroomery.org/8410/Simple-Cubensis-Growing-Technique Which is credited as PF Tek. It uses brown rice flour and vermiculite as growth medium. I have followed all steps accurately and pressure cooked the medium, then I inoculated it with spore solution. The picture below is after 2 weeks - I found this white growth in 1 of 3 jars, 1 jar had mold so I discarded it, and the last showed no signs of growth. The growth is 'brilliantly white', which is good, but it is growing on the side of the jar, which seemed like a bad sign. Can anyone help here? Is this rhizomorphic growth or mold?

Amidogen, thanks for your quick reply! You made my day with that comment, I laughed for quite a while. The jar is 750 ml, they were the only ones I could find that didn't taper at the top. Its outside so the pic would come out (they are kept inside in the dark). The Rooster, well he's a bit proud of himself and likes the limelight...

Don't keep them in the dark. A day/night cycle is benificial to mycelium.

Okay, Thanks for the advice. I will let them have some ambient light, as they stay in a cooler (with a glass side-wall for light) in my house which has windows and light but no direct sunlight. The highest temperature, mid-day, is about 83 Degrees F, and the lowest at about 5 in the morning is about 70 Degrees F. I have been turning on a small heating element (just an old incandescent light bulb contained inside a tin can to allow the heat to disperse without creating light in the cooler). I do this in the morning to make sure it never gets below 70 (trying to keep it about 75F, but haven't invested in the proper equipment - heat controller, etc). I do have a dry verm layer on top, and the lid does not have foil (i covered the holes with sticky tack before pressure cooking them, and then just left he sticky tack untouched after inoculating with the needle). Any/all advice is welcome, and thanks again for your help and time!
