Help ID please. Cow pasture find. Possible Inocybe maybe?
    #23723205 - 10/09/16 06:47 PM (7 years, 3 months ago)

EDIT: After posting this and doing some more research, I'm starting to think they're a  chlorophyllis species.

Habitat:
Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.

Cow pasture, piedmont NC, extremely old  dung.

Gills:
Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.

Stem:
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.

4"-5" tall, 1/2" thick, brown

Cap:
Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.

Roughly 4", tan, really smooth almost like a coating

Spore print color:
Very important!

In progress

Bruising:
Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.

Dark purple- black

Other information:
Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

I think the term for the smell is ferronacious. They smell like cubensis does.
