Cleaned up some GT spores on agar then >rye>cvg>50/50+ casing. Turned out pretty nice. Smaller sized fruit but I'm decently satisfied with the canopy.

That's a nice cluster! Half quart of spawn each is nice. It's been hot as hell here over summer. Not so great for 5 quart monos with no A/C in the house. Now it's time to get the big cakes goin.

I've literally done trays in monos for the last year and a half. So fuckin awesome. It's like half the substrate of a mono with just a tiny bit less yield per tub. Some of my trays have hit 300% BE, which is fuckin insane.

Each PEU tray is 1/2 qt oat spawn and 1-1.5 qt manure (basically 2 qts of substrate). 4 of these trays yielded me O/A 10 oz, which is 3 oz less than my biggest tub. So a slightly less yield consistently.

2.5 oz of Orissa India from 2.5 qts of substrate

Another 2qt fucker

Very nice Mad! Those Orissa's are huge Your tray grows are what made me want to try them. They're so easy to deal with too.

Yeah that Orissa India was beautiful eh? It was pretty close to the lid lol.
I like trays too because if one contaminates, it's a much less of a toss. They're definitely less risky with less eggs in one basket, also your fruiting chamber tubs can always be left dialed in, tho spawning at fruiting also solves that problem xD. There's some cons too tho like the less yield per tub thing. I also much prefer casings on them, which in tubs I actually generally don't case at all.

Plus you can run different strains/clones at the same time side by side in 1 tub... really nice for checking clones and such.

Ya trays in monos are great. I recently ran 15 1qt trays of ms Burma to find some great clones. I grabbed 5 and now I can test those closes against each other to pick a winner in the same trays. Plus you can get the trays at most dollar stores.
