over cooked grain
    #23722644 - 10/09/16 03:33 PM (7 years, 3 months ago)

I overcooked my wbs, i left it in the pressure cooker for about 3 hrs, it's burnt on the bottom of the jar, and looks a little burnt on the sides on some parts.

Anyone have any experience using the grain after this? I'll be doing a G2G transfer.

I would trash it and start over. I'd be afraid of breaking up the grain and the jar breaking on you. I'd also be afraid of moisture content being off.

Eh, personally I would trash it.

it shouldn't have burned regardless. bags get PCd three hours. Aloha PCs their grain twice at 18+ psi. I PC my grains 2-2.5 hours at 18psi in quart jars all the time. did you run out of water? if in doubt throw it out.

It seems it ran out of water, I'm considering trashing the jars and grain. I'm concerned the jars may have weakened.
