Are these really an undescribed species of Cantharellus?
    #23721878 - 10/09/16 11:46 AM (7 years, 3 months ago)

Habitat:
Southwest Fla. Under Seagrape Trees, next to beach.

Gills:
False. Ridged with typical veins in between.

Haven't been on in awhile, how's everyone?
Just wanted other opinions. Thanks!

They might be Cantharellus cinnabarinus, which might be a species complex.

Art!  Welcome back!  Nice find!
check out these and compare.  It's certainly possible that these are undescribed

Don't think they are cinnabarinus. I've found tons of those and these aresults much different.
Thanks, River :hatsoff:
It's the same as http://mushroomobserver.org/172583?q=2qfKt

But no one has identified those either....found in a completely different location. I only know of 3 individual location's these have been found at....and 2 are very close.

Joie, it might be a species complex... sorry, I guess I skipped over that text originally lol.
Does anyone know someone that wants to do a bit of scoping work on these?
Some samples (from that post on MO) were sent to Matthew Foltz but no word was ever heard about any work that was/wasn't done...
