Agar work

Hey guys lookin for some tips on agar started last week. Followed the pasty plates tek. First batch used some containers from work and ended up with a shitload of melted plastic. Second go around forgot to add the honey. Third try remembered the honey. So I cloned some big fruits to both with and without honey jars. Interestingly, the jars without the honey showed the most vigorous healthy mycelium growth. The jars with honey added seem to be white fluffy and fuzzy. Not sure why this is, I was expecting the jars I forgot to put honey in would fail. Anyways, just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for the next step. Havnt done any transfers yet, but not sure what part to transfer, all the myc looks very healthy, don't see any visible contams, but this is my first go at agar. Thanks in advance.

You probably put too much honey in the other batch. You barely need any, if at all as you are seeing for yourself. The ones with too much honey the mycelium is growing slow, and lazily because it has plenty of nutrients under it so whats the hurry to move forward? The ones without honey are moving quicker, looking forward for more nutrients.

The myceilum that is hungry looks more beautiful. Transfers of all kinds should happen.

That last pic looks really sexy to me.
If I was you I'd transfer it once to make sure it's clean then I'd spawn it to a bunch of grains...
