LIBERTY WORMS
    #23719607 - 10/08/16 01:50 PM (7 years, 3 months ago)

Hi,

I recently collected some liberty caps and discovered some microworms, lavi, pupi type grubs.

Can anyone tell me more about them, what are they, or rather what do they become, some kind of fly?

They survived on brown paper, but died on banana skin (inside and out) and dried candle wax.

Also are there any active mushrooms that don't harbor insects (to this extent...)

See last picture here: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/23719227#23719227

Many Thanks

i dont see the picture, but sounds like you are describing fungus gnat larvae

first time i noticed that, it grossed me out so bad i havent eaten a wild mushroom since. RR says it wont hurt you, just extra protein. but i dont fuck with maggots or anything maggot-like

most wild fruits will have them to some extent from what i understand. cultivated ones usually dont, ive only seen them in very poorly maintained grows

Thanks for your reply DA,

Here's a more direct link: https://files.shroomery.org/files/16-40/594488503-20161005_142419.jpg

I can live with the odd one or two, but the extent of worms embedded between the gills of these liberties tells me its their food not ours. I've never seen that extent of invasion in general fruit/veg, Fly Agaric although get bitten does not host a plathora of worms, I'm hoping to inspect some cyanscens, see'f they are any better. Many thanks
