So I transplanted mine twice. First time had way too much perlite and water just went straight through. after the second time one looks pretty good and is sprouting a new leaf, but the others leaves are now quickly turning black at the tips and curling. The plant was seriously rootbound and I had to unclog that mess. Sound like stress? Almost looks like the tips of the leaves are rotting...

Just stress i think. They may die off and then new ones will emerge. Just monitor it but dont lose sleep over it. At least i wouldnt.

Okay cool that's what I was kind of wondering. Wasn't sure if the leaves should heal or just drop and regrow

They probably will drop so just harvest them. The stem looks healthy.

5 grams. Face feels hot. Very anxious. No comedown but my face is burning up.
Is this common?

Did you just take it? Sometimes i get some uncomfortable shifts when i'm coming up but it fades. Also how used to kratom are you? 5 grams is way too much for me when my tolerance is down. I'd try to lay back a bit, get some fresh air going, and don't move too much until you feel better. Kratom can be horribly uncomfortable if you miss your mark ime. Though i don't recall a hot face

There are people on the ODD who eat 15grams to an ounce lol. Tolerance goes a long way. I used to not be able to eat more than three grams. I've also found that I need to maintain some stillness throughout the experience or i get seriously nauseous. YMMV. Glad you're feeling better

Yes they will go deciduous once established. But if they're young... Def bring them in.. Likely by their second season, they'll be old enough to handle it... But even then, on super cold and freezing nights I typically wouldwould bring them in. I've forgot in ther past and they had to endure. But I never saw it fit to push my luck on that one.

Yeah,I gave it a try a couple years back, and I got a pretty nice sized tree, that lived until last winter.
I'm not letting that happen again.

Ouch...losing a tree is the worst. Glad you hopped back on The plant train and found another... Did you start it from seed? I see a lot of vendors offer the seeds for ingestion but I never see mention to their viability... I will likely try and get one in my collection for next spring... And maybe an akuamma tree too if I can either figure out ho to germ the common seed source or get some special viable ones. Anyway... I'm rambling again... Plus this is a krat thread, so my bad
