Casing help

This is my first grow with a grow kit. It was going very well until I added the casing. It has straw substrait and I'm not sure what the casing is. Anyways, it's been a week in the fruiting chamber and the mycelium has only started to show in a few spots around the sides. I fan and spray and even drilled holes in the cover for air movement. The humidity is high and I have been keeping it by a window that doesn't get much direct light but should be good for indirect light. Temp is room temp.
Nothing is happening. The mycelium hasn't progressed much. Should I add more light.? Give it heat for a few days? I'm starting to worry

Probably should have left it out of the fruiting chamber until the casing was 30% or so colonized. But, too late at this point. It'll still fruit just fine, don't worry, just be patient.

Leave it, let it do whatever a grow kit does.

First, uhg to kits.
If you got that thing in fruiting conditions, let it go. Maintain 70-75F for the duration of fruiting, and keep it misted if necessary.
A pic would really help here, post one of your fruiting chamber if you wish to have further criticism.

You should be cultivating reptiles and fish, not mushrooms.

Thanks for the reply. I am gonna order spores soon and just follow advice on this forum in the future.
In regards to this, my sub was 100% colonized before adding casing. I thought I read somewhere u don't want the casing to colonize as well and that the mushrooms just grow up through it . Maybe I'm wrong.
Perhaps I should just put it back into darkness and heat for a week or so.
I'll try to get a pic

I wouldn't return it to colonizing conditions. If you're already giving it fruiting conditions, let it go. It'll do it's thing.
Also, you dont need to incubate a colonizing tub/tray/jar. You're only giving anaerobic bacteria a fighting chance to dominate your sub. 70-75F through colonization and fruiting.

Also there's never a need for darkness
If the info you're reading says Incubate in the dark Or to incubate at all for that matter Or that light causes side pins Then you know you're reading some 15 year old bullshit wrote by a noob
