Few rye cakes with pf tek they growing super small with small caps.. any clues why so small? I birthed from a regula pf btf tek, this time tho replaced btf with similar amounts of brown rye flower just to see what happened. As you can see, fruits are small and lanky, thanks for any advice

No offense man but have you done any research on how mushies grow? Those are pins. Theyre basically the early stage of full grown fruit. In a few days theyll be at full maturity. You have a nice pinset so keep faning and misting.

This is all over the map. Ya got most of your pins aborting due to dryness, but some are rotting apart from pseudomonias. The chamber cannot be functioning properly. How often are you misting? You should take a pic of the chamber itself.
You definitely have some bacteria in there, probably bacillus from the rye. But conditions need to be dialed in far better.

Thanks I should have elaborated more. These look like pins that just started off A brF cake but they have been sitting here on these rye cakes for close to a week with not much growth. This is my concern. Is it because I use rye instead of brown rice? Usually the fruit is not so lanky and ready to pick at this point.is there anything I could do for the environment ie more moisture more humidity more Fanning...
first attempt outside of basic brf pf btw. Any input will bring happy luck

The chamber isn't terrible but the perlite looks settled. Rake it up and re moisten it to get the air flowing up through it.
Do you steam your BRF or PC it? You can steam brf because there is no bacillus in brown rice. But bacillus thrives in cereal grain. Which is why we need to PC it. So if you sterilized your rye flour cakes for anything less than 90min at 15 psi chances are that's the vector for the bacteria.

they look decent. Some of the cakes look a little dry right now. Keep up with misting/fanning and they all should give a decent flush.
